How will my guarantee claim be resolved?
IKEA will examine the product and check whether it is covered by the guarantee. This is what happens in a valid guarantee claim:
IKEA will repair the defective item or replace it with an identical or comparable product. IKEA will cover the costs of repairs, spare parts, and the hours worked and travel expenses of the technician. Any replaced parts will become the property of IKEA.
IKEA will offer a replacement product of comparable quality and price if your item is no longer available at IKEA. IKEA may alternatively pay compensation as reasonable for the defect as determined by IKEA at its own discretion if there are no more comparable products available in the IKEA range.
