What are the general guarantee terms and conditions?
We’d like you to enjoy our IKEA products for as long as possible. That’s why we provide guarantee periods that go beyond the statutory guarantee and product liability periods for many of our products.
The guarantee period starts on the date of purchase on the guarantee terms applicable at that time. Keep your original receipt or invoice in a safe place; we’ll need these as proof of purchase.
Our guarantees do not cover defects caused by incorrect assembly or use, or application of force; incidental and consequential damages are also excluded from guarantee. Our guarantees do not apply to purchases from the Re-shop and Re-use section.
Unless otherwise stated, our product guarantees only apply to domestic use. Guarantee does not cover normal wear-and-tear.
Only the person that purchased a new IKEA product from August 18th 2021 can file a guarantee claim on that product. It cannot be sold or transferred.
The guarantee period starts on the date of purchase on the guarantee terms applicable at that time.
