What products have guarantees, and how can I claim on a guarantee?
We’d like you to enjoy your IKEA purchases for as long as possible. That’s why we provide guarantee periods for many of our products, some extending beyond the statutory guarantee and product liability periods.
All our products come with a statutory guarantee of two years starting on the date of purchase. You can file a guarantee claim in person at an IKEA store or contact us.
You can file a claim on purchases from more than two years ago if they have longer guarantee periods.
IKEA has offered selected products with varying guarantee periods over the years. Terms and conditions of guarantees have also been altered for certain periods. You’ll need proof of purchase (original receipt, original delivery note, or original invoice) to file a guarantee claim.
We’ll be happy to check your product for any additional guarantee period for you. Fill out the German guarantee request and attach your proof of purchase for us to deal with your request.
