When does a guarantee apply?

The guarantee period starts on the date of purchase on the guarantee terms applicable at that time.

Keep your original receipt or invoice in a safe place; we’ll need these as proof of purchase.

Our guarantees do not cover defects caused by incorrect use or application of force; consequential damages are also excluded from guarantee.

Unless otherwise stated, our product guarantees only cover domestic use. Refer to the guarantee terms and conditions and guarantee description for the respective product for details.

Guarantees are conditional upon compliance with the specific care instructions for each product. Refer to the price tag at the IKEA store and the product details section for the respective product on the IKEA website for details on product care.
