How does Parcel Delivery work?

To ensure that your favorite items arrive quickly, simply add your smaller items to the shopping cart. As soon as you have entered your zip code, we will show you all available shipping methods. Choose parcel delivery and enter your personal details. After completing your order, you will receive a confirmation email. In it you will find the expected delivery date and information on tracking. On the day of delivery, it is ideal if you are at home to receive your parcel. It's best to check straight away whether everything has arrived undamaged. If something is missing or damaged, simply contact our IKEA Customer Support - we'll take care of it! You should be at home on the day of delivery or, if necessary, arrange an alternative delivery option with the parcel service. Audit the parcel immediately upon receipt and report any missing or damaged items to IKEA Customer Support as soon as possible.

1.Place an order

  • Select items: Add your smaller products such as decorations, textiles or accessories to the shopping cart.
  • Select order option: Enter your zip code to check the available order methods and select Parcel Delivery.
  • Availability: If you are not offered parcel delivery, this is due to short-term high demand for your product. Don't worry - we are already checking the durability for you in the background. You can simply complete the order later or choose a different delivery method.
  • Personal data: Enter your billing address and the delivery address for your order. We will only use your e-mail address and telephone number for the order confirmation and in case of questions about your shipment.
  • Everything included? Go through your order overview and check whether you have found everything you need for your project. If everything fits, you can safely complete your purchase.
  • Order confirmation: After completing your order, you will receive a confirmation email. In it you will find the expected delivery date (usually 3-10 working days) and tracking information. If you do not find a message from us in your inbox, please take a quick look in your spam folder.
  • Change order: We prepare your parcels for you immediately, which is why we can no longer change orders that have been placed. As long as your parcel is not yet on its way to you, you can cancel your order yourself online. You can easily manage and track your order via this link: Track and manage your order.

2. Order processing and dispatch

  • Tracking: As soon as your parcel leaves our warehouse, we will send you an email with your tracking number. This means you know exactly where your order is at all times. You can also use our online service for this: Track and manage your order.
  • Drop-off permission: With some parcel providers, you can directly specify where your parcel should be left safely if you are not at home. Please contact the relevant parcel provider for this.
  • Multiple parcels: Your order will be shipped from our regional warehouses. To ensure that your shipment arrives quickly and safely, we sometimes split it into several parcels.

3. Delivery

  • Your delivery date: The date given is an indication. The parcel services plan their own routes, so the exact time cannot be narrowed down. The exact delivery date may vary.
  • If you are not there: Our service partner will leave you a notification. If a second delivery is not possible, your order will wait for a week at a pick-up location near you. Please contact your parcel provider if you have any questions.
  • Your order has arrived! Your satisfaction is important to us. That's why we ask you to check your order and the packaging carefully.
  • Support: If something is missing or damaged, contact our IKEA Customer Support as soon as possible - we'll take care of it!
