Climate and environment
As a global brand meeting many millions of customers around the world every day, we have a big climate footprint, and therefore a big responsibility to reduce it, from how we source raw materials and run our operations, through to the products and services we offer our customers.
Ingka Group's Climate action
If we are to make the planet a safer and healthier place for generations to come, the world needs effective, organised and innovative action.
Our vision is to create a better everyday life for the many people
In today's world, this means taking concrete steps across our operations — for example, Ingka Group is matching 94.8% of our electricity use with renewable electricity sourcing, and using electric trucks for 60.1% of our share of deliveries (FY 2025).

Reducing delivery emissions
At IKEA, we are working to reduce carbon emissions from deliveries as part of our broader efforts across the value chain. In every country, we are finding new ways to deliver to our customers. Using over 30 different localised solutions including electric cargo bikes in parts of Italy and Germany, boats on the river Seine in Paris, and electric three-wheelers across seven cities in India and Australia. We are working to more rapidly roll out electric vehicles through additional investments in vehicles and charging infrastructure, piloting new innovations and collaborating with other industry players.
Resell, reuse and repair
We want more people to be able to resell, reuse, repair their IKEA products. That is why we offer services and second-hand products to make it as easy as possible.

How we think about materials
IKEA assess and proactively addresses the environmental and social impact of the materials it uses. Using recycled materials can help reduce the use of virgin raw materials, reduce waste and ease pressure on natural resources. To further increase the share of recycled content in our products, IKEA is innovating and developing ways to use recycled materials, while also focusing on securing availability, traceability and affordability of recycled materials.
