Attractive & sturdyMelissaI ordered sight unseen. I wanted something for feet to make sitting in an old wingback chair more comfortable. It slides under the chair when not in use which is a plus in my small living area. I was surprised how heavy it is which is from the wire frame. It seems sturdy although we don’t wear shoes while using it. I like the look of the natural material. I bought it with some smaller items and they all shipped in a giant box. Everything arrived safe and intact. Happy to have the option to order online with delivery during the pandemic.

MoldBrittneyI bought this stool less than a year ago. But now it’s covered in black moldy spots. It’s been indoors in an air conditioned room with no exposure to any liquid. Tried calling ikea but have been unable to get a resolution because of “high call volume”. I buy a lot from ikea and have never had something become unsafe.
DirtyGiannaI had seen these used with rocking chairs for nurseries and LOVED how it looked. I ordered them and waited forever for them to arrive, when they finally did they arrived looking terrible! Like they had been used outside and returned. I have called and emailed ikea with no luck getting through. Will likely have to drive to the nearest ikea which is a hassle and why I had them shipped anyways!

What is banana fiber?
The strong banana fiber is a by-product of banana growing. The plant only bears fruit once, and instead of letting the trunk go to waste, the outer fibers can be dried and then woven and braided into things like baskets, table mats and furniture. By using fibers from different banana species we get a natural color variation – and a more vibrant expression.
