Reviews
Flimsy and screws don’t fitAnonymous reviewerWent to assemble the bed and 80% of the screws don’t properly fit. Had to order the right ones to be delivered (well I hope they’re right when they arrive).
I can see why it’s now showing as clearance.
Very poor.
Very good but has a squeakAnonymous reviewerIt's good but I cannot get rid of a squeak which is annoying in the night
MALM PURCHASEAnonymous reviewerPoorly fitting bed rails. Flimsy plastic restraints for bed rails. Better it was one double bed size than two single bed sizes and having to put them side by side. Instructions unclear on many occasions.
GreatAnonymous reviewerIm very happy with this item!
Malm kingsize bed construction Anonymous reviewerRight!!!! .....question, ..why have you decided to change the design of the locking " wheel"( i have had a malm bed in the past and put it together easy) myself and my partner ( both 60 + yrs) were totally frustrated because we couldn't get it right, in the end I had to get a family member to help, luckily we did manage to finish the construction, eventually....and another change...the headboard used to be one piece but now it's 2 pieces. More unnecessary time...why?... but we had a good night sleep after all that...but design ...not happy
IKEA MalmAnonymous reviewerGreat wasn’t assemble product.
Malm bedAnonymous reviewerVery strong bed love it
Poor headboardAnonymous reviewerThis bed used to be a very good bed. However Ikea have changed some of the features in that the bed is less solid and the headboard comes in 2 parts. It used to be one large stronger part to the back of the bed. The bed doesn’t wear well :(
Squeaky bedAnonymous reviewerGlad to see I’m not the only one who had issues with this beds quality. The assembly was tricky and the quality of the slats hasn’t held up very well, making the bed squeak when you move.
Ikea bed frameAnonymous reviewerGreat bed frame, easy to install, and very strong
Great quality and very stylishAnonymous reviewerThis bed has quite a unique design, and looks good in my room setting. It was relatively easy to assemble, although careful assembly does require some time to be taken. The assembly instructions were clear and easy to follow, and all the required parts were included in my delivery. Once assembled, it seems sturdy and likely to give a good number of years of service.
Bad Quality BedAnonymous reviewerWe bought this last year, we thought it was going to be solid/ strong bed but the reality is, it is very flimsy and it broke easily. Every night now we go to bed the sought of part of the bed is dropping down on the floor is dreadful. We're looking into buying a new bed now. We would not recommend it at all.
Comfortable bedAnonymous reviewerIt’s definitely a two man job, but regardless a comfortable bed ! I have had the displeasure of hitting my leg on the side and it hurts alot but regardless it’s an amazing bed ! Make sure u have a decent size mattress otherwise you may feel like your sleeping on the floor with how low it is
EXCELLENTAnonymous reviewerSo easy to assemble, it's sturdy and looks amazing with some LED USB lights stuck on to the back of the headboard. It looked really well in store but at home it's even better.
stupid design. avoid if you want something that can be easily dismantledAnonymous reviewerim not sure what drugs the designers were on but they decided the side railings that hold the slats should be longer than needed wasting metal and also blocking the cam locks in 2/3 height positions. avoid poorly designed ikea beds. you need to remove the entire side rail to get access to the cam lock when they could just make these rails shorter so you can just access them. disassembly should be just 2 screws and unlocking the 8 cam locks. instead you need to take the whole bed apart.
Pretty solid, looks good, bit squeaky.Anonymous reviewerHad this for a couple of years. Pretty simple to put together (you can just about make do building by yourself but ideally need two people). Looks good, simple design and build quality is reasonable. Only downside is after a while it starts to squeak/creak at the headboard end when you move.
Dreadful squeaksAnonymous reviewerLovely looking bed though took time to assemble. Been used for a couple of months and the squeaking is dreadful. Can be heard in other rooms. Very disappointed as bought other furniture to match as well.
Beautiful and easy to assemblyAnonymous reviewerA lovely sized bed which is easy to assemble and very nice addition to the bedroom, so nice I bought two!
Malm bed Anonymous reviewerAbsolutely love this so easy to put together
