A blend of the natural materials jute and sisal gives a hard-wearing rug that will keep its beauty over many years.

Ideal in your living room or under your dining table since the flat-woven surface makes it easy to pull out the chairs and vacuum.

The anti-skid backing protects the floor, keeps the rug in place and reduces the risk of falling or tripping.

    Remove dried spots immediately by scraping carefully towards the middle of the spot.

    Do not rub wet spots. Absorb moisture with paper towels, and clean with a damp cloth and mild detergent.

Stains (puppy!) ElizabethBought this for the dining room. One day later, puppy had christened it. Doggos are attracted to jute, I think, because it smells like dried grass. Rug was also a bit cheap looking. Not choosing this again, and instead, going with indoor/outdoor for washability. 3

Material

What is sisal?

The sisal fiber is extracted from the long, sword-shaped leaves of the sisal and has traditionally been used in ropes and strings. The fiber is durable, stain resistant and sound insulating – so it’s excellent to weave rugs with. But it’s not just the fiber that is useful, the sisal has an extensive root system that can help limit soil erosion, and what’s left of the leaves can be used for bioenergy, fertilizers and animal feed.
