Flimsy!FrankI ordered this online. The metal is super thin. While it arrived just fine, i put it in the sink and it was dented in by another dish. I can’t get the dent back out. I’m going to use it to sort things in the garage.1
WORKS AS INTENDEDRobinI have used it twice for banana bread and it works fabulously. Loaf was easy to remove even without a nonstick coating. Cleans up easy.5
Works perfectly, great for high heatCrystalYeast breads and quick breads both turn out great in this. I use parchment paper in the bottom and oil the sides. If I forget to oil it properly, the crusted-on bread that results comes off cleanly after soaking. Not sure why one reviewer says the bottom is soft. The pan is all one piece, so the bottom is the same material as the sides. It's a relatively thin metal with a slightly brushed finish and it's slightly flexible, but I wouldn't call it soft. A great inexpensive loaf pan for baking at high temperatures that my nonstick pans aren't made for. Tempted to buy a second one so I can make two matching loaves at once!5
Not sure it's stainless at bottomXinBecause at the bottom it's soft1

What is stainless steel?

Stainless steel is found in everything from building structures and cars to sinks and knives. It’s easy to see why it has so many uses. Stainless steel is hard and durable and has good resistance to corrosion – namely rust. It generally has a low nickel content, and for IKEA products we mainly use stainless steel that’s nickel-free. Like many other metals, it can be recycled again and again to become new, hardwearing items – without losing its valuable properties.
