The open shelves are optimal when using the bench for TV/cable boxes as there are no doors or drawers to disturb the signal from the remote controls.

Hide messy cables from chargers, devices and decorative lighting by leading them through the outlets in the back.

The frame is easier to assemble thanks to the clever construction with wedge dowels that are conveniently pressed into the pre-drilled holes.
