Looks BeautifulAZUCENA C.Easy to clean and maintain5
GreatFREDDIE S.Excellent product5
Replacement timeE S.I’ve had theses now for 15 years. The color is yellowing, they stain badly, they are hard to clean and are cracking badly. All said and done, they did look nice for years but 25 years, no way. I will replace the doors with another Ikea style cause- you know- the price is right.3
Nice plain modern doorHenryIt’s a good look and cheap4
5 Years Latergabriella s.Considering its one of the cheapest options to buy, I still think that the quality is not worth it. Five years later, I'm finding myself having to replace them. The sheen is completely gone due to cleaning, and the stains just don't come off. More importantly, the paint is cracking; and by the seams it's beginning to bubble. When I first purchased, I drilled in door handles and the paint crumbled by the holes (only on some doors) leaving me to buy more doors to compensate....ikea never recognized that is was a product issue. Its cheap! But you get what you pay for -- cheap quality. Oh, and not sure if that 25 year warranty is usable -- still figuring that out.1

Veddinge doors don't match Forbattra white panelsVerified BuyerI recently installed these doors on my new kitchen. The doors themselves look very nice. However, the Forbattra matte white cover panels (which were recommended by the Ikea Kitchen designer) do NOT match these Veddinge white doors. The Veddinge white doors are a soft white with a slight yellow undertone. The Forbattra matte white cover panels are a bright pure white. My kitchen needed quite a few cover panels to get the fit right with the Ikea cabinet sizes. So after spending thousands of dollars on my new kitchen, I now have a 2 different colors of white cabinets, which is incredibly frustrating!3
It’s like they try to not sell item to youTeninojoeThe quality of the product is fine. I actually really like the cabinets. However the process in buying anything from Ikea is insane. It’s like they actively try to not sell me things. The click and collect is a disaster. They never have it right or on time. The website says it has stock then it says they don’t. Same with the home delivery. Website say it is available until you actually want to buy it then it is not.1
Love the finishBeachmama929Purchased and installed as a gift. All of the cabinets were easy to install. Purchased because of the design and ease of a one person installation.5
Clean designBeachmama929We purchased the door for the cabinet due to its streamlined appearance. Easy to install.5
Chips easily and matte white has yellowed.erins77This is our second Ikea kitchen but unfortunately, we did not have the same good luck as our first. We are very disappointed in the quality of these fronts. In three years, we have several fronts that have chipped (which show the brown mdf) and most of our fronts have yellowed. Since not all of them have yellowed, we now have a kitchen with a mix of matte white and yellowish fronts with sprinkles of brown pdf peaking through where they have chipped. Our countertops and walls are also white, so the chips and yellowing is extremely noticeable. Needless to say, with 38' of Ikea kitchen cabinets, it's not in our budget nor should it be to replace all of our fronts after only three years. Do yourself a favor and pass on the Veddinge fronts. I wish I had read the reviews prior to purchasing and wasting all that money.1
Good qualityJad76Bought quite a few of these doors in this white finish and different sizes. First time we used ikea to actually redo or finish a room. We used these products fir our laundry room. It’s all holding up very well, looks beautiful and is a very good quality painted finish.5
Chip to easilyYaya1175I have this kitchen for about 3 years, it has chips and wherever the small plastic circles were installed and fell off the paint was chipped as well. I also wanted my dishwasher to be front covered with panels matching the kitchen but it obviously doesn’t hold the heat, not very happy, I also purchased my counter top from ikea knowing quartz should be the best, it is so sensitive I have no issues with stains but I definitely can not cut on it, or last time by mistake I dropped a glass on it and now I have a small dent on it? Weird my friends cuts everything on her quartz counter not from ikea , maybe something else was installed in my kitchen??2
Nice finishgarlichausWe installed these in a kitchen remodel last fall and they have not chipped or scratched at all. We have a busy kitchen, but haven't had the problems described by other reviewers. In fact, we were commenting recently on how well they've held up this last year, and what a breeze they are to clean. One swipe with a damp microfiber and done. Used black glass doors on uppers of one wall in open galley style kitchen for a modern, sleek look.5
Nice look soft white but finish chips easilyEternalMyrtleApproximately two years ago, we installed our second Ikea kitchen and chose Veddinge for the clean, modern look. It seemed like a great value for a painted finish cabinet and I wanted to try the flat panel look on our cabinets instead of the more traditional shaker style we had previously gone with. We love the look and the color of the cabinets (they are a nice soft white--very similar to Benjamin Moore Simply White paint color which we have used for all of our trim). The only problem is that shortly after we installed the kitchen, the doors and especially the drawer faces began getting nicks, scratches and small chips. These can be filled in (with Simply White paint) but it still bothers us and we feel the finish should be more durable. Also, when the cabinet does get a nick, it is dark brown so it is incredibly noticeable against the white finish. It is a much bigger problem on the base cabinets than on the uppers probably because people use those more and they are more prone to bumps and accidents of everyday life. All in all, the cabinets still look okay but we are thinking of selling our home and are wondering if we should consider replacing all the doors and drawers because of this which is a significant cost. We feel we should have gotten more longevity than 2 years. By comparison, in our last Ikea kitchen we used a medium brown door (called Adel I think). That one showed no signs of chipping or scratching at all and held up much better.3
Chips far too easydonnaatlI put in an IKEA kitchen just over a year ago with the veddinge doors and have been disappointed. I've already replaced two lower cabinet/drawer fronts with chips. I had considered the Ringhult doors but didn't like the glossiness so went with the veddinge. It's so disappointing. We have a lot of panels that are exposed so it would be too expensive to replace the cabinets with another door. We have the gray Bodbyn fronts in our mud/laundry room and they take a lot of abuse and haven't had any issues with chipping. We have had those in for two years.1
Great looking doors, but doesnt matchLizy2shoesWhen you get these doors and drawer fronts, IKEA will recommend Forbratta in matte white for cover panels and filler pieces to match. THESE WILL NOT MATCH THE VEDDINGE DOORS! Its terrible. Looks yellowish next to the Veddinge. So unless you want your white matte cabinets framed in yellow trim, covers and fillers, buy additional cabinet fronts to cut as filler, or go with something else. I really wish I'd gone with the other kitchen cabinet system from another company that I was considering. So disappointed with Ikea.2
ChippedAssembly ProblemTerrible quality. Chipped after only a few months of mild use.1
GOod for the price but chips easilyMamacorRedid our kitchen and like the color and style and price of these door fronts best but were sad when they chipped during installation :( a little appliance paint covers it up but thought they would at least make it a year before chipping. Still love them and they are easy to clean and look great3
Good - for the priceVerified BuyerI'm quite happy with my new Veddinge kitchen. I will say that the finish gets nicked easier than it should, but it's nothing that a little color-matched paint can't fix. My cabinet doors and drawer fronts wipe down nicely and have a really warm, almost pinkish tone to them, so my kitchen doesn't feel too clinical/sterile. Best of all, I completely renovated my kitchen and was trying to keep the material costs under $3,000, and Veddinge allowed me to accomplish that goal.4

Our take on wood

Wood is the material most commonly associated with IKEA furniture, and for good reasons. It’s renewable, recyclable, durable, ages beautifully and it is an important part of our Scandinavian design heritage. At IKEA, we believe that sourced in responsible way, wood is a key change driver for climate mitigation. In 2012, we set a goal that by 2020 our wood would be from more sustainable sources. We are happy to announce that we have reached this goal and today, more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

Forests are critical for life on earth

Forests contribute to maintaining balance in the atmosphere, purify the air that we breathe and are part of the water cycle. They nourish wildlife biodiversity and provide homes for indigenous communities who depend on forests for their livelihoods. 90% of plant and animal species living on the planet need forests to survive. They provide sources of food, fuel, timber and many other ecosystem services that we rely upon. Sourcing approximately 19 million m3 of roundwood per year from some 50 countries, IKEA has a significant impact on the world’s forests and the timber industry and a huge responsibility to positively influence how wood is sourced. Responsible wood sourcing and forest management ensure that the needs of people dependent on forests are met, that businesses can work sustainably, that forest ecosystems are protected and biodiversity is enhanced.

100% wood from more sustainable sources

At IKEA, we work with strict industry standards to promote responsible forestry. We don’t allow any wood in our supply chain from forest areas that are illegal or contain high conservation values or from forest areas with social conflict. Before starting to work with IKEA, suppliers must demonstrate that they meet IKEA critical requirements on wood sourcing. IKEA requires all suppliers to source wood from more sustainable sources (FSC-certified or recycled wood). All suppliers are audited regularly and non-compliant suppliers are required to implement immediate corrective actions. By working together with our suppliers, we are proud to announce that we have reached our more sustainable sources goal, which we set out to achieve by 2020. Today more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030

As pressure on the world’s forests and the surrounding eco-systems increases due to unsustainable agriculture, the expansion of infrastructure and illegal logging, it is time to take an even more holistic approach to protect and support these important resources for generations to come. The IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030 set out to improve forest management, enhance biodiversity, mitigate climate change and support the rights and needs of people who depend on forests across the whole supply chain and drive innovation to use wood in even smarter ways. The agenda focuses on three key areas: • Making responsible forest management the norm across the world. • Halting deforestation and reforesting degraded landscapes. • Driving innovation to use wood in smarter ways by designing all products from the very beginning to be reused, refurbished, remanufactured, and eventually recycled.

We accomplish more by working together

For many years, IKEA has partnered with businesses, governments, social groups and non-governmental organisations to fight forest degradation and deforestation and increase the volume and availability of wood from responsibly managed forests both for our own supply chain and beyond. We are on a journey to improve global forest management and make responsible wood sourcing the industry standard, contributing to building resilient forest landscapes and improve biodiversity.

Material

What is fibreboard?

Fiberboard is a stable and durable material made of leftover wood from the wood industry. A durable outer layer of paint or laminate is added to the board. The difference between various types of fiberboards, such as HDF and MDF, is mainly the thickness, yet also how impact-resistant they are. This determines if we will use them for bed frames, sofa frames, kitchen fronts, wardrobe doors, or something completely different.
