Paint chipping - do not buyEduardoI bought these doors 10 years ago and they started chipping after about 4 years, to the point they are no longer presentable. When I decided to replace them and request support from customer support, they made me send them two sets of pictures, 12 months of electric bills (yes - believe it) and they came back 3 weeks later saying they were do to scratching and damage from wear and tear. They are in my in-law suite which gets used 2 months a year max, so it wasn't due to usage. Do yourself a favor and read the other reviews, same issue (peeling and chipping) that is why they have the lowest rating for doors. Ikea found a way to piss off a long-term customer.1

Required Replacement For A ChipJamesI installed a complete IKEA kitchen about 4 years back with the VEDDINGE fronts. It looks lovely but the quality lends itself to easily chip. This is the third replacement door/drawer front. I will note that there are no children in the space and the 2 of us tend to be quite gentle on the cabinets yet mishaps happen. I wish there was a matching touch-up paint which would be very helpful. I shutter at the thought of replacing all the fronts with a more durable choice that I wish I had made initially. 3
Buy anything elseEllenBought a house in 2020 that had Veddinge kitchen cabinets that were installed in 2018. When I called Ikea to say that many of the cabinets were chipped and peeling, I was told to research when and at which store they were purchased for a replacement as there was a 25 year warranty on the product. I contacted the previous homeowner who had installed the cabinets and got the necessary info. When I called Ikea back, I was told that the warranty is only good for the original purchaser. Who takes their cabinets with them when they move??? Rather ridiculous. So, after much back and forth, I now have to pay for replacements. The quality is absolute crap but I am not able to replace the entire kitchen with quality cabinets at this point. So, cheap? YES. Quality and dealing NUMEROUS times (and long periods on hold) with customer service? A BIG no!!!! Pay the extra money for quality!1

I like the product.BarbaraI like the clean lines these doors provide. They install easily and smudges wipe off cleanly.5
Chipped easilyTVery nice looking, and smooth to wipe off. Unfortunately, as others reported, it chips easily especially near edges. Drawer tops and cabinet door bottoms look bad. Ikea customer service said my dents and chips look like normal use so they won’t stand by the 25 year warranty. Disappointed.
I spent an enormous amount of time planning my kitchen, and I like the cabinet drawer functions, but I’m disappointed in the durability of these fronts. 3
High quality and great priceJulieThis is a high quality, durable and well priced piece.5
tains and chipsAnonymousInstalled AKURUM kitchen with eucalyptus veneered fronts in 2006. Sold that house in early 2018, cabinets still looked brand new!
Installed SEKTION Veddinge in new place later that year, and 5 years later, the doors and draw fronts are stained and worse - chipped! Do yourself a favor and pick another finish.2
