Material
What is foam?
Foam is excellent as upholstery in seating and mattresses since it provides good comfort and can relieve pressure by moulding to the body. Depending on the properties and feel you’re looking for, there are several qualities to choose from, like high-resilience foam and memory foam. The raw material for foam was previously based entirely on virgin fossil materials. But today, together with our suppliers, we’ve begun developing a material that is renewable and recycled.

“I was asked to design a dining collection with high comfort, iconic Scandinavian design and a perfect balance between form, function and quality. Inspired by nature, I created the VEDBO series with an armchair that reminds of a cozy bird’s nest and an elliptic table that harmonizes with the soft, organic shapes of the chairs. I wanted a matte table surface with the feel of stone. Luckily, we found a pressed laminate with these features, and it really adds to the quality feel."
