this product is not as good as it used to be and it's much thinnerMagdaleneI have been buying this product for many years and have a few of them in white. On summer nights It's all I need over a sheet. However, I recently purchased some again and they are significantly thinner; In fact, in some parts, it one can see through the weave. It also looks less likely to last as the previous ones I bought. it is so thin that I expect it to fray.
It was one of my favorite items from IKEA, but the quality has declined Significantly. The other problem I have with this item is the color options; I can't imagine how many people are buying pink, for example. I would try the yellow, but it's not available in twin, and still, it's not my favorite yellow; there's something dull about it. I think the gray is a loathsome color frankly and wish they would put a bit of effort and money into paying for better dyes and colors. This is a product that had they kept the quality uniform and brought out stellar colors--It would be a major seller. 3

DisappointedPattiI purchased this yesterday and washed it this morning to get the wrinkles out. Because it wasn't dirty, I did a short wash with cold water. Then I threw it in the dryer on low heat to partially dry it before putting it on the bed. The blanket did not soften up in the wash like I hoped and the finish is rough and uncomfortable. It also shrunk up a great deal. The original size was 91"x98". It now measures 81"x88". That is 10" of shrinkage in both length and width. I find that totally unacceptable and I do not recommend this blanket.1
