Good purchaseJenniferI will admit this was a spontaneous buy. However, it has quickly become a favorite in the kitchen. It is perfect for cooking tortellini or ravioli, and I am going to see how it does with poached eggs. I really appreciate that it is one piece of metal, not a scoop attached to a bar with a rivet, as that always gets food caught in the seams and it hard to clean.5
Good QualityTomPleasantly surprised by this skimmer: it has a good heft and thickness, and is finished with a thicker body than a piece of stamped rubbish. I've not had it long so cannot speak to durability but if it's solid stainless and not just plated it will be a long lasting utensil.4
