Is there not a smaller version?HunterWish there was a smaller version for this. The automatic response from ikea is just gonna tell me about the return policy but it’s hard when I don’t have an IKEA near us and had to order. Anyways this shelf will apparently only fit the new style corner shelf and not the older style so make sure to find what model you have before buying. It’s be nice if they still sold the old model1

Website does not clearly explain that you have to speak with a team member to request the item for it is not easily found in the marketplace. Shelves were made of good quality. Instructions for the installation were very basic and after some work, shelves were successfully installed.4

Material

What is glass?

Glass is mainly made of sand, soda, and lime melted at a high temperature. Tempering or various additives gives you extra-strong and impact-resistant glass that in some cases can be taken straight from freezer to oven without cracking. A big benefit is how glass can be recycled over and over without the quality deteriorating. Also, a lot less energy is needed to melt recycled glass compared to new raw materials. Our goal is to eventually use only recycled glass in our range.

Quality

Withstands more than it has to

Our kitchens must withstand a lot. The shelf test is just one of our many quality controls. We load a 31 1/2" wide shelf with 150 lbs, for a full week. The shelf may not bend more than a few millimetres - that proves it can withstand demanding everyday use.
