Manual graterCarolConvenient, easy to store and to use. Has 2 barrels, each offering different size 'holes,' one small for fine grating and one medium for coarser grating. Doesn't say it is dishwasher safe, so I wash it by hand. It's easy to clean.
Didn't last over a yearMeghanI REALLY loved this rotary grater, I wasn't worried about fingers getting cut and I could grate cheese right onto the dish. However, slowly things got under where the two pieces of metal meet to form the circle and it slowly pried apart leaving an extremely sharp edged piece of metal sticking up. I was mainly grating soft cheese, but would occasionally use parmesan and both would get caught under the piece of metal. This also meant thing would not longer grate because it would get stuck in there so you couldn't turn the handle. Had to throw it out after a year (and that was with using it while it was pretty unsafe to do so because I liked it so much). Super bummed as this was faster and safer to grate my block cheeses in until that happened.

Really Good Kitchen ToolLynnI had one of these from another company several years ago but got rid of it. This one works fantastic, I just used it to grate a hard swiss cheese. I hand washed it and the cleanup was easy. The price is reasonable so I will be buying one for my daughter.
Broke after a couple of monthsJanessaI got this in February, the handle just snapped off in the middle of using it.
It was fine up until then. I like that it comes with two attachments and cleans easily in the dishwasher

Its okLindseyI have had this 5 months and one handle has already broken. I only hand wash these and it is not being abused just grating cheese with it, maybe once per week for parmesan over pasta. Hopefully the second grater blade will last.

Easy to assembleJannettI tried to shave hard aged cheese, it works great and it is easy to clean. I had a grater from another vendor, it grinds down the plastic container as you rotate the grinder, I checked very thoroughly on IKEA grater, it does the job nicely without leaving any scratches on the side wall. I am so happy that IKEA’s design works well
