Sturdy desktopBarryWe purchased the white desktop so that it would brighten a small office area. The desktop is sturdy and performs well. The entire Trotten desk is nicely made. The first Trotten top that we purchased has an issue on one corner where the laminate was lifting away from the fiberboard core. We took it back to IKEA and it was replaced without issue. There are no issues with the replacement so the first one was probably a fluke. We like the clean, modern look that this desk has. It's a great value and with 2 different sizes available, it's easy to fit into a small space or larger workspace depending on your needs. The Trotten legs are metal and very sturdy. Overall a great purchase.

Trotten DesktopKateThere has been very little use on this desktop and there is already a piece of the top that has chipped off. I am very disappointed in the quality. I expected something better from Ikea :(

Make sure to get the right legsXeLike another reviewer pointed out, the "top seller" legs that get shown on the page for this item do NOT work for this table.
This table is the perfect size for what I need it's just so disappointing that IKEA has chosen to create a table top that doesn't offer a greater variety of leg options. Even worse is the fact that each option seems to be more expensive than the table itself.
Was it really too difficult for IKEA to just allow more options for legs? Would it have cost too much to add a few more holes to the bottom so people could choose?
Like, I can't believe I'm about to have to spend more on the legs than the top cost.
Great desktop!GretchenI purchased this to go with the sit to stand manual crank base and I love it! I only wish I would have gotten something bigger! It was easy to assemble and even though it says to have 2 people I did it on my own! It got slightly tricky when I needed to flip it over but I was able to.
Works greatMikeAssembly is a breeze. Exactly as instructed. Parts are high quality except the some screws can be too easily stripped. Color actually much better than expected.
Love this deskJenniferGreat desk, easy to assemble. I did have some problems with the desktop. The frame was in stock but the desktop in the showroom was out of stock downstairs. A coworker in self-serve helped me and thought another TROTTEN top would fit, so i took it. I assembled the frame and the top didn't fit. Returned it a week later, and the one i needed was in stock. Got store credit towards the right one. I love it! It works great. Just make sure you grab the top that fits.
