Missing screwsAnnamarieDidnt have all the scRewS to assemble properly 1
Works fine, worst assembly experience everIngerIKEA has hit a new low in assembly instructions. This thing had me building it from the middle out, flipping it on end before it was stable enough to flip, tightening screws with Allen wrenches on a flat surface (read: rotate in a 120° arc, stop, remove wrench, re-insert wrench, repeat, while the holes misalign JUST enough to make each turn excruciatingly tough. I legit had blisters. I was using a pot holder to pad the wrench by the end.
I feel like assembling IKEA furniture has gotten more difficult in the last few years, and while this piece may not be the last one I buy, I will certainly be reviewing assembly instructions BEFORE I buy any further pieces.
Not worth the money. At all.2
Just what I was looking for ChelseaI’ve had my eyes on these for a while! I finally got them and I love them! They’re exactly what I needed for my kids room! They were for the most part easy to put together and feel very sturdy! 5
Bins do not stay in placeJessicaThis is poorly designed as bins do not stay in the slots and fall down on top of lower bins. 2
Beautiful toy shelfAliciaThis toy shelf is very nice looking which I appreciate.5
manufacturing errorAlexisI have purchased from this line in the past and love them for my kids toy room. However, I don’t live near a IKEA, so I purchased 2 of the three tier systems knowing I wouldn’t be able to use them for quite some time. It’s now about a year later and I’m attempting to put them together… well the holes don’t line up. There is “nothing ikea can do” because it’s been so long, but now I’m out over $200 and the product I need isn’t useful. I’ve attempted for two hours on both units to try to get the holes to match and they just don’t. So frustrated. 1
Buyer beware! AndreaDo not buy the recommended Trofast boxes which are recommended for this. They are about 1/4” too small & keep falling down from the slot. Super annoying & untidy looking. 1
Slot system brokeJenniferThe slot system is poorly designed. During assembly, one of the edges snapped in the insert because it was too tight. Very frustrating.1
Nice!LorelaiIt looks nice! Was quite difficult to put together, but I did do it by myself, so that probably wasn't great. But it's awesome, tall and lots of space for storage and whatnot.4
VersatileValerieI love this unit- so easy to organize and store all my kids stuff5
Great quality!TaraGreat quality!5
Aesthetically NiceScottI decided to make the switch from the white Trofast frames to the wood ones. Aesthetically they’re really nice, but just like others have mentioned, the heavier bins don’t stay on the tracks the way they did with the white frames. The wood frames are otherwise sturdy.3
Nice color Works great inKarmenNice color
Works great in our daycare5
Sturdy and many storage options.JessicaGreat for our pre-k kid with metal racks. Very sturdy and offers many storage options. Only problem was a couple of metal racks did not slide easily, but remedy was to very very slightly bend metal racks inward (you would not see the change).5
AmazingAbigailI love this, I got it for my daughters closet to organize her toys better and we love it. It’s made great of course I built it haha but it’s amazing. Was a little hard to put it together but I got it!!!5
Love it!PatriciaIt’s sturdy, does the job by keeping my son organized and best of all he loves it!5
Not nearly as good as the white versionLydiaWe already had the same shelving unit in white, which we LOVED!!! So we decided to get a second set in the natural wood, because we liked the look better. BIG MiSTAKE! The plastic bins don’t stay on the tracks AT ALL! They might as well be stored on the floor- because that’s where they always end up! We never had that problem with the white shelving unit, which had the plastic tracks. This set does not have the plastic tracks- and the plastic bins do NOT stay on the wooden cut-out notches at all. It’s frustrating for us and the kids as well! If you’re looking for toy storage- DO NOT buy these! Go for the cheaper, white ones- They actually store the toys and hold the tubs like they are suppose to! These were a complete waste of money unfortunately. So disappointed because we typically LOVE everything we get from IKEA.1
Great productAnonymousGreat for storage, have every size boxed with covers. stays in place. easy to use, even for my 1 year old.5
