ReliableDannySo far this has been the most reliable smart bulb I have used. The zigbee platform used has been very reliable. It does not respond as fast as some other products I have tried (mostly wifi based) but so far I have not had ANY issues with any of the devices not responding when using them. Both via the IKEA switches as well as the smart home app and verbal commands. That is something I cannot say for some other bulbs that cost much more. I will be adding some more of these so far very reliable bulbs to my smart home in the near future. Hoping that Ikea continues to expand with other bulbs options for this line of products. 5
Kind of dim and IKEA Home Smart app limits optionsMathewSetup and pairing was easy and it also works great with HomeKit. For being rated 800 linens it’s fairly dim especially at certain colors; sometimes looks like a 40w or less. The description on this website doesn’t really show the bulb can do the full spectrum of colors. It gives the impression there’s only 9 shades to choose from. I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again, IKEAs app is the weak link in this chain. The bulb can actually display more colors than what the app allows if you use your virtual assistant or a non-IKEA app. There is no bright white, fluorescent white or blue daylight option in the app, but if you ask your assistant to change it, the bulb will do so! Also IKEAs app shows white options as barely different several shades of beige. That needs to change. Nevertheless, it still performs decently and pairing with a remote works great too. 3
