Good to know

We recommend a TV bench to be a bit wider than the TV placed on it. This TV bench suits a TV up to 70 inches. You can choose a larger TV if it's not heavier than the specified max load for the bench's top.

The top panel of the TV bench is intended for a TV with a maximum weight of 66 lbs.

Great tv unit DaisyI bought two Tonstad units from IKEA and slid them together to create one long piece. It turned out even nicer than I expected, definitely looks more expensive than it was! Every time guests come over, they ask where I got it and are surprised to hear it’s from IKEA. I wanted something long, clean, and simple, and connecting the two units was the perfect solution. 5

Aesthetics for a reasonable price CynthiaWhen I found out about this new piece, my partner and I decided to buy it right away after checking the model in stores. We were a little worried about the bamboo/veneer being a weak material but it's sturdier than expected! You definitely get what you paid for, don't expect it to be indestructible because we did get a dent from accidentally dropping a piece. I don't recommend getting it shipped because it will definitely come with dents, go instores and order for pick up! The slow close feature was a very nice plus. You can try to slam the sliding doors, but it will slow down and kind of bounce into place. The little shelves inside are easy to move up and down. Putting it together was pretty easy, but make sure you got at least two people to make it less stressful haha. But we've gotten compliments from friends and they all thought it was real wood at first. Our 65" TV fits perfectly, I don't recommend anything larger. 5
Different tonesMahirI loved the simple yet elevated look of this tv unit and sought after it when it was out of stock, finally got it and worked on assembling, just to find out in the end that the doors don’t match the rest! The doors have a warm tinge while the rest is yellowish and I didn’t realize before but once it’s finished the tone difference is very stark and looks cheap. The one in store wasn’t like this, maybe I got a defective product but I can’t disassemble it now, so disappointed! 2
New and Improved TV UnitShannonMy bf and I are an IKEA household (dresser, bookshelves, bedding, kitchen, etc). This is by far the easiest ikea build for both of us. We saw it in store and immediately was sold on not only the modern look but at the low price point. It’s about 70” in length so it complements our 65” living room tv perfectly. There’s ample storage and adjustable heights for our router and modem. Back opening to snake and hide wires. I was so eager to write a review because it’s a fantastic tv console. I hope ikea continues to make new, modern, sleek designs like this at an affordable price!5
