Aesthetically pleasing but disappointingAaronI had reasonably high expectations for this desk, but it didn't quite live up to them. At the price point, I hoped it would be solid quality and generally as pictured; however, it fell short. Firstly, the desk creaks. I can't recall the last desk I had that made noise during normal use -- light computing -- particularly given the weight and footprint of this piece. The finish is not as depicted -- ostensibly, the stock photographs would lead you to believe that it was a light lacquer, but, in reality, it's just matte paint. It would've really enhanced the premium appeal of the desk. Lastly, I had difficulty with the drawer assembly. The rear support piece would not align, so I am currently going without (and hoping none of my items in the drawer slide out of the back).2

The assembling part was a bit trickier than usual, but the result is worth it 100% it's neat, convenient, looks noble. colour is close to ikea bamboo items which was a great fit to our living room!

The level of quality on this desk was a pleasant surprise - even down to the "soft closing" drawer. I have it set up in the bedroom next to a low dresser and the color and grain is remarkably close to that of the dresser (Hamburg from Structube).
