Tillreda cooktopYurisI am highly satisfied with the product. It is ideal for my compact rental space, as it cooks exceptionally quickly and the food tastes exceptionally well. 5

Use the item all the time , use it by our outside grill.VirginiaOur second purchase of this item!5
Perfect as a portable cooktop!SylviaI take this with me when I travel with my business. Sometimes I just want to make my own meals in my hotel room. I have a plastic box I carry all I need to cook on the go. Works great!5
Excellent and quick ElianeI like how quickly it boils water, and I like the child safety features.5
It worksAndreaI bought this at the IKEA store in Emeryville CA in March 2025. It’s not silent, but not too loud either, and there are no stinky fumes or anything. Only drawbacks are that not all my pans are compatible with induction, and it trips my circuit breaker when it’s on its highest power level (not IKEA’s fault). Five stars5
TillredaAshmaIt was a good purchase 5
Great for travel, in a makeshift kitchen during a kitchen remodeling, as an extra cook top, or simply to test induction cookery.VanessaWe bought this induction burner to use on a road trip to an island with few restaurants and a not-great grocery store. It worked perfectly with our induction-ready stainless steel pans for simple meals of eggs, pasta, or soup. We have since used it at home when we had a problem with our range, and will be relying on it during an upcoming kitchen remodeling project. The Tillreda is easy to use with simple buttons and digital display. It heats food quickly and cooks evenly, however we have only used it with pans of small to medium diameter. It’s a very good value item.5
This cooktop rocks.Anonymous reviewerSimple to operate, easy to transport and store, and the sleek design makes cleanup a simple wipe down. The power settings go up to 9, which is plenty hot; I dont use over 6 or 7 max.
FYI, when using a large pan, the heat occurs in the center 6 inch diameter. Just need to stir to compenate for that.5
Great valueElizabethNo complaints. I only use it for hotpot nights at home. Heats up the pot of soup fast and keeps a nice consistent heat. It’s louder than an electric “hot plate,” but I feel a lot safer with the induction cooking surface. Love the little hook for hanging storage. 5
Exactly what i wantGiovanniHighly recommended5
induction introductionMaryvery good appliance to introduce me to induction process5
Excellent at what it is supposed to do, if fan would turn off…AliceI am no stranger to induction cooktops I have used many. This works as good if not better than most. Footprint is not a small as some that’s a good thing when you have a large pot on it. The downside is the fan constantly runs, and it is loud if the fan isn’t running it is constantly making a high-pitched frequency buzzing, when the unit is off. I even double checked, and made sure that the child lock was on and the fan just turns on whenever it once and stays on for hours. Not just this one I actually own two And both do the same thing.3
Nice burner PaulOnly works with certain pots and pans. So it was returned 3
Faulty and DangerousJenWhite smoke and potentially hazardous plastic burnt smell started coming out of the fan underneath 10 min into the first use. Unplugged immediately to avoid further damage, but took us a long time to get smoke out of the house. Would not recommend due to safety and risk. 1
Tillreda Induction Cooktop (single burner)J.(7.2024) I LOVE this thing!!!
I purchased the portable tillreda induction cooktop so I could practice cooking on an induction burner before making the leap to full induction.
It's used every day for oatmeal/boiling water for eggs/pasta/& I've made risotto - I have to use one of our other burners to keep the broth hot while cooking. It's also been used to make bean/legume based meals... as well as egg rolls & plant based burgers.
At this point, I'm planning on purchasing a 2nd one of these as I often need 2 burners when cooking. No matter, I use the tillreda induction burner as the 'main' burner when cooking.
I do use high-end pots & pans (lecreuset) and they work great. I have a cheaper pot that I've used on occasion & it does make a little noise.
Water heats up in no time - especially if you have the lid on it. All in all, much faster (& safer) than using a gas burner.
NOTE:I put a silicone pad (for induction) cooking on the burner (it's between the burner & cooking vessel).

No TimerMOne great advantage of an induction cooktop is that when it goes off the heat stops completely. The old Fagor induction I want to replace has a builtin time, I can set my rice to cook for exactly 20 minutes and it will turn off on it own, perfect rice.
It would be great if IKEA redesigned this with a auto shutoff times.4
Cheap, constant high pitched squealingAnonymous reviewerDoes function, but makes a constant beeping/ squealing noise whenever a light or the screen is on. A replacement did the same thing. Some noises are normal for induction but this isn't. The child lock being on by default when you plug it in might be good if you have small kids, but otherwise is just annoying.3
Stopped working after 18 daysRachelI got this to try out induction cooking before buying an entire induction range and loved it. However, after less than three weeks, it stopped working. It turns on for about a second, then shuts off entirely, and then the display briefly shows an 8, and then the residual heat indicator and the lock button are lit up. Nothing in the manual explains what causes this or what to do about it. 1
Awesome!!!ChristopherI’ve had mine for several years now & it still works great!!! Use it in my upstairs bedroom (have a fridge/microwave/toaster/etc) instead of going down in the main kitchen & waking everyone up. Easy to use and much safer then using gas. Definitely worth buying!5
