Perfect Pop of Color for My Gray RoomArielI’m so glad I bought this IKEA rug! I was looking for a quick, affordable way to pull my mostly gray room together, and while I added other colorful touches — chartreuse chairs, a Van Gogh print, and some bright pillows — the rug really makes it all work. In the wise words of The Dude, “that rug really ties the room together.”
It does a great job bridging the neutrals and the bright pops of color. My once-cold space now feels warm, vibrant, and cohesive. The quality is really good for the price — it feels soft underfoot and has a nice weight.
One thing to note: since I laid it over carpet, it does shift a bit and sometimes wrinkles under my coffee table. I plan to get a rug pad made for layering rugs on carpet to help keep it in place — so keep that in mind if you’re doing the same!
Overall, I love how this rug pulls everything together. It makes my space feel intentional and cozy, and I’ve gotten so many compliments on how well all the pieces work together now. Thanks, IKEA!5

Great deal and versatile rug!HannahWhen we first bought the rug I felt it was a little so dark - though our Roomba easily vacuumed over it and the felt mat under kept it in place… I did some more digging and it turns out it can be flipped to a dark or light side. After realizing this, we are super happy with the lighter side and option to flip it later if we feel inclined. This is a great deal especially compared to some rugs with the “washable” label that provide essentially the same qualities!5

Not the bestAllisonWhile the aesthetics of the rug are nice, it’s not working well for us. The weave makes it kind of stretchy, so there are often wrinkles in it and it snags easily. We do have cats, but they don’t usually cause much damage to rugs, with the exception of this one. My kids love it and don’t even want to talk about getting something else, but I don’t see a long future for this one in our house. 3
Honestly, great value, even if quality isn’t 100%LauraWhile we had some light cosmetic issues with our rug (some loops were a little pulled up. Not disastrous, just lightly annoying/disappointing), overall we’ve been thrilled. Love the colors, and with a solid rug pad (sorry, ikea, not from y’all. The one in store was SO thin, no thank u), it is comfy enough for our use. Highly recommend.4

Great rustic rug.LauraThere is a lot to appreciate about this rug. It is reversible & the two sides give a very different effect. The weaving is quality, and I appreciate the texture. As it isn't a pile carpet, the weaving texture is apparent when walking barefoot, but pleasant. It looks great in my living room with a couple of Salno chairs.5

Great 100% Cotton Rug!LaurenThis is the nicest of all the Ikea 100% cotton rugs. It's nice and has a substantial thickness to it so it provides some cushioning for my feet. The weaving is nice. Please offer this kind of rug in more designs and colors!! 100% cotton rugs are my favorite.5
