It's Zigbee and it's simpleJacobBought this to pair with my Home Assistant setup and to control my Sonos speaker. Was easy to pair, easy to setup, and works well for controlling my speaker and other automations.5
Works with Home AssistantAnonymous reviewerIt was plug-and-play with HA using a generic zigbee USB stick and ZHA. All buttons generate events that can trigger any HA automation. Important: to pair the remote, *ignore the Ikea instructions* that say you must hold down the pairing button 10 seconds because that doesn't work. You need to press the pairing button rapidly 4 times and then the red LED starts blinking. HA then detected the device and added it with no issues.5
Preferred Over LutronDanI switched from the Lutron remote to the Symfonisk as I was looking for something more reliable. Turns out that the Symfonisk remote, after a firmware update, is able to select 2 sources and is even able to be set to shuffle a playlist. These features made this remote so useful I purchased several. I'd prefer that we not have to use Ikea's app and Dirigera hub but in the end it is worth it.5
Better Than Lutron But There's A ProblemDanThis remote is more reliable than the Lutron system. I also like the ability to choose up to 2 playlists from the remote. However, it does not work with the new ERA speakers from Sonos. It fails to find them even though they appear in the Sonos app.2
