Great Speakers, cool designD ClarkeI have two of these set up as rear surround sound speakers with a Sonos Beam Gen 2 and they sound incredible. I particularly like how I was able to change out the stock covers with a custom covers I got from Symfonx.
Still going strong after 4 years CaryI love this picture frame-Sonos speaker. Was going to buy more for my other home, but it looks like the price has almost doubled in 4 years. I remember paying somewhere around $159 or $179. Now I hear IKEA won’t be keeping the collaboration with Sonos? What a shame. Probably why price went up. So IKEA can make it look like a deal when they start clearance them off for discontinued items.

better than SonosEricI have 4 of these speakers now. I also own the Sonos Ones The Symfonisk picture frames sound amazing and better in my opinion. Having them hanging on the wall has also made it easier than taking up space on a counter. They blend in perfect with a picture frame all of art or photos. The only thing I wish for now is new Symfonisk Picture Frame Panels to switch mine out in a rotation. Definitely worth the money for these speakers. Buy a pair because they sound better as a stereo pair.

Not Able to Play Apple Music Independent From Other Sonos SpeakersBillyNot sure why, but the two frame speaker will not play anything from Apple Music unless you start playing a song from a different speaker first. There are no issues playing music from other sources such as Tidal or Sonos Radio. Not sure why that is but I wouldn't think it would be a codec issue. I spent. Hours troubleshooting it. I plan on eventually pairing these two frames up with an arc, so I guess I'll just work around the limitation for the time being but figured I'd let others know in case this is a "one off" purchase food someone else.
Great speaker, nice profile lookEfrainGreat speaker, excellent sound… but, be aware, set up is a headache. Sonos is having some issues to get the speaker set up with your wifi. It took me 2 speaker and 3 frustrating days to get it operational. Hopefully, they have fixed the issue.
Impressive sound from such a small cone!SeanI’d been shopping for a bedroom speaker to replace my Echo (so I could remove it from the nightstand). This thing is fantastic for the price. We have flat wall-mounted Martin Logan speakers in the living room but I really wanted something simple that required no commitment to install. In other words I didn’t want to run any more wires. Ultimately I selected this as it had the best chance of not getting vetoed by my wife, she doesn’t exactly appreciate my audio interests. So far the single speaker is great. Probably going to end up getting a custom cover for it to see how it works out as wall art and then try to convince my wife to let me put a second one up! Bass wise and mid-range this thing surprises me given the cone size. It’s nowhere near the level of a dedicated sub, but it’s not meant to be. I’m a big fan and would recommend this to anyone else that doesn’t want to put an ugly smart speaker on a table or shelf.
Ohhhh that SOUND! WOW!CalvinI have many Amazon Echo Show 8s around the house. I wanted something different for the new (IKEA!) kitchen and something with a little extra oomph. I literally stumbled on this speaker in the as-is section at my local Ikea. It had "Sonos" on it so I figured they wouldn't put their label on it unless the speaker met their specs. So I bought it. The quality of sound is astounding. I played classical music and it's crystal clear and with deep bass. Toto's Arica - same. I even threw some Snoop at it and it produced awesome lows, mids and highs. The only complaint is that I can't group it with Amazon speakers. Only Sonos. Today I had my Echo Subwoofer arrive and I paired that with an Echo Show 8 and even THAT didn't compare to the Symfonisk frame speaker. Really impressive! Might even get a second to add pure stereo to the new kitchen. Wow! Just, wow! And it's "art" too! What a cool concept! Stays connected. responds when it should. Sounds even better than the price point! Nice work Ikea!

Unable to play any songs on android deviceKohInitially was told we could play songs on our android device but couldn't find a way to play them through Sonos app, so ended up contacting Sonos representative. Ultimately they said we cannot play any songs that we have downloaded on our devices, only can play songs through streaming services. They said that's just how it is for Symfonisk line. Will be returning the item when we go back to IKEA.
Serious hardware issuesPeterPlease do not purchase this product. I purchased two Symfonisk picture frames to work in a surround setup with a Sonos arc. This set up worked well for the first few months but over the past 2 months (and coincidentally just outside the 180 days), the Symfonisk picture frame speaker that was setup to be the rear right speaker simply cannot keep a stable connection to the internet. The frame constantly drops from my system and even if it reconnects after a power cycling, the frame will drop off eventually (anywhere between 30 seconds to an hour). I know this isn’t an issue with my system since I own at least 20 Sonos products and this is the only one that is having these issues. Furthermore, I called IKEA customer service to discuss about options and was basically rudely told that I’m out of luck as the product was 2 months past the 180 day exchange/warranty. Do not waste your time and money on this clearly faulty product or with IKEA’s atrocious customer service.

Needs better softwareAlvinThe speaker has amazing sound quality, the wall frame concept is good. The only thing thats trash is connecting via wifi, it constantly needs to fix connection to internet on the app you have to go through so many mental gymnastics to play the darn thing, if you dont have a open network with no password it will give you problems everytime you want to play music. The company needs to fix the software to have easy connection via wifi without all the problems.
great buy amazing soundEricI own several Sonos speakers form the Sonos One to the Sonos Fives. I was a little skeptical about The Ikea/Sonos partnership and quality of the sound and speakers. This Ikea Symfonisk Picture Frame speaker threw me for a surprise. Not only do they sound as good a Sonos One but they add a nice height presence when hung on a wall. Now my living room is filled with sound. Setup was quick and easy and you can even pair 2 of these speakers as a stereo pair which I did. I also ordered a 2nd pair of speakers to add to other walls. You can daisy chain these speakers which I find will make a great option and plan on doing in the future. They are worth every penny.
