DissapointedPaulaI love Ikea, so am sad to report that these placemats do not wash well. They came out of the wash wrinkled and curled up, no amount of ironing could get them to lay flat. I think this is the only Ikea product i have been dissatisfied with.

Crumpled and wrinkled no matter whatAlissaThese are worse than useless because they wasted not only my money but my time. No matter what, even with special washing, ironing, and pressing, these will not stay flat. I don't mean just cosmetic wrinkles. The ends curl up and fold over and will not stay flat no matter what. I bought other cloth placemats at IKEA previously that wash well and have been great, so I when it looked like those weren't available anymore, I still didn't hesitate to buy these in store, cut the tags, and wash them. I didn't think I could return them after that but these are clearly defective. IKEA products are usually good for the price so this was a surprising let down.

Can't get the wrinkles outAnonymous reviewerYou have to be able to wash fabric placemats, these can't be unwrinkled. I tried ironing when wet, dry, steam, no steam. They are better but still have some wrinkles. (I wish I would have trusted the reviewers that said the same.) I will try to return them because it takes too much work to make them usable.
Once washed wrinkled too much NagaBought these but once washed they got wrinkled and crumbled up like a ball. I even ironed them, still they didn’t work. When called ikea about returning- didn’t get any answer for the customer service people. Very disappointed. I wish I could get my money back.

Poor quality, can’t wash as expectedWendyThey look great until you wash them. Even though the tag says you can wash them, they curl all up and are unpresentable after. Shame on IKEA for saying they are washable. Also, I have these placemats from a few years ago, but they have definitely changed them for the worse. These ones are lighter in color (natural) and thinner. My old ones are great. Don’t buy these!!!! A total waste of money. I’m taking the ones I haven’t used yet back. They are not worth even $1.50.
