Great mat for the priceDarleneI was looking for a mat to replace an expensive leather one. This works great. Easy to write on, mouse works perfectly. It's hard to see when it has crumbs on it, so I brush it off frequently, but that's not a problem for me, had to do it on the leather mat too. This mat could have multiple uses. I'm very happy with it.5
Safe Sticker RemovalPeterIt took me about 6 minutes to remove the sticker entirely with no damage using these steps. _1._ On one side, grab sticker and pull it off slowly while applying consistent downward pressure on the section that is coming off. You will have to readjust your finger. _2._ ONLY rub your finger against any remaining sticker paper residue. It will start to ball up and you can remove it easily. DO NOT GOUGE IT. DO NOT PICK AT THE CORK. _4._ Repeat on other side. _5._ Done. __ Cork is great and I didn't observe any bending or curling. It feels nice and there's basically no pitting.5

Sticky Labels Ruined ItSamSticky identifying labels on the mat are tough to remove and when they come free a piece of the mat is removed too. It's a shame.1

Material

What is cork?

Cork comes from cork oak bark which is carefully cut from the tree’s trunk. It then takes about nine years until the tree forms new bark that can be harvested. Since a cork oak can live to be aged 150-200, each one produces a lot of cork during its lifetime. Cork has several good qualities as a material: it’s lightweight, flexible, waterproof and naturally resists fire. We use it in furniture and accessories.
