The safety feature means that the chest of drawers must be anchored to the wall in order to open more than one drawer at a time, which creates a safer environment at home.

By anchoring the chest of drawer to the wall, you unlock the safety feature and can open all the drawers simultaneously when needed.

Wonderful Product!SamanthaI am not able to attach to the wall at my apartment, so after reading the reviews, I made sure to watch a video on YouTube of how to put it together. It was nice because this also allowed me to skip a few pages of the installation booklet. I bought two. Easy peasy to put together and the drawers offer SO much room! I am a single woman and putting the two together, all the drawers and getting them in place, I was done in about 5 hours. I am very happy with my purchase. I was able to get them shipped to my location and that was a huge time saver as I am nowhere near an IKEA. I have purchased SO much from IKEA over the years, and the quality and dependability of this product is on-par with all the other items I have. I continue to be a very satisfied IKEA customer.5

DisappointedKSize and look are nice. I have two main problems with this. 1) I picked this out in the store (not online, where it has the anchor warning). You CANNOT open any drawers without the anchor mechanism in place. I did not know this. After I had installed all the drawers, I couldn’t open any of them. After some time I realized what had happened, and could not access the anchor mechanism because it was against my wall and I am not strong enough to move the entire piece alone with all the drawers in it. (Though I did try, which was way more dangerous than whatever calamities the anchor is supposed to save you from.) I live in an apartment building where I cannot drill into the wall. In the end, I tied a rope around the anchor thing and forced it to stay open after much difficulty. 2) It is LOUD. The runners are loud and the drawers click shut. Really not ideal if you share a bedroom and don’t want to wake up your partner. I wish I didn’t buy this but not worth disassembling and returning.3
Nice designAleksandraCompared to the 6 draw Hemnes I assembled, this was easier! If you follow instructions carefully, it doesn’t take too long to put together. Took me about 3 hours. Though I’ve assembled lots of Ikea furniture myself, including a bed. Pay attention to the railings, they all look the same, but are marked left and right, and the ones for the draws are marked different too. Look for that. Maybe that’s why some people were having assembly problems. Also, you need to install the top draw first (per instructions), then bottom draw and work your way up. That worked best and it all came together well, and works and sits perfectly. The draws are not bulky but are deep and spacious. It’s a nice design/quality and not bulky. Looks nice in the bedroom.5
What I wanted! TaskRabbit for the win!KristenI was initially nervous after reading some assembly related reviews, so I chose IKEA’s TaskRabbit option. I even sent the assigned Tasker some of these reviews and a YouTube video I found on how to assemble this exact item, just in case. He confirmed that many people struggle because IKEA mostly provides images with minimal written instructions. It took my Tasker about an hour to assemble the chest. This product is solid and has some weight to it. I honestly don’t see how anyone could claim it feels cheap. I love it, and it’s exactly what I needed. I almost got a similar fabric version from Amazon, but this one is better quality and looks very modern in my room. Long story short, don’t rely solely on the negative reviews. Many reviewers may just not know what they’re doing. To eliminate frustration, get a professional to assemble it, and you’ll be as pleased with it as I am.5
Assembly TipHannahWe've been using Storklinta products and we're quite happy with them. This is the first five drawer we have purchased and assembled. As with any unassembled furniture, instructions must be followed carefully. We took the first piece apart twice to correct our errors. Pay careful attention to the two thick, smaller interior pieces shown in step 5, the holes are not drilled in the center and it's easy to install the piece upside-down. You won't know until the drawers won't go all the way in and you might be baffled about this for a few minutes. You will have to take most of the unit apart to correct this.5

Exactly what I neededKateIf you look at the instructions very very carefully, you’ll do fine. The bad reviews helped me be more diligent in my attention. Perfect for my needs but...JulieBefore building any IKEA item in the future I am going to read through the reviews first! This item has a very important detail in the instructions missing. The two thick boards that are in the dresser for support MUST be put in with the holes along the sides closest to the top of the thick board. We got it completely assembled and realized that two of the drawers would not go in all the way because they hit the supports. IKEA needs to edit their instructions to point out this VERY CRUCIAL detail.3

Drawers dont fit if you dont interpret the instructions correctly TaviaPut entire dresser together and two drawers didnt fit. There should be clearer instructions to ensure this doesn't happen. Maybe add a sticker stating top or bottom to help installation is done correctly.1
