OK, bit plasticky and horrible assemblyTrennaDecent for the price. I've bought IKEA's metal bed frames for 15 yrs: they are inexpensive, lightweight, sturdy, easy to assemble and move. Finish is a little odd, like a plastic coating. Prior designs with rail fasteners facing outward assembled in 10 mins and could be easily tightened. This hidden fastener system does. not. work. I used an 8mm hex wrench to leave exactly an 8mm space as required in step 2, but steps 3 and 4 didn't work without a lot of fuss, unscrewing, rescrewing, banging. Then step 7, as others have said, is hard to reach (the tool doesn't fit correctly) and requires way more than 8 turns. Not worth it just to not see the fastener heads IMO. Having to buy the support beam and slats separately is normal because there are multiple options, and they stay in place if you do it right. My mattress is much more comfortable now with the Luroy, though the set I got had really poor varnishing that was peeling (not a big deal, you can't see it, just peculiar).4
BedSaraI have been looking for a long time for a bed frame. I kept going back and forth with more expensive options. This bed is made from better quality material than similar ones on Amazon and is a great price. We upgrade the box spring when purchased. It was fairly easy to put together but 2 people are helpful to have to complete the bed. It is comfortable and sturdy. I am very happy with this purchase. We will see if it stands the test of time. Perfect frameGiselleI absolutely loved the original one with the taller foot board but this frame is just as sturdy and beautiful in person. I have an adjustable base and it fit perfectly around it and I can still move the head and feet sections up and down with no issues.5
It's a pretty nice bed frame with some caveatsMichaelIt's a pretty nice bedframe for the price. All steel and no particleboard in sight, with a vintage look with actual character. It's pretty well made too, aside from some sloppy welding around the bars on the head and baseboards. The biggest improvement I can suggest is to revise the bolt designs that fasten the side beams to the head and baseboards and make them powertool friendly. In the current design these must slowly be tightened up by hand, which is tedious and if not done correctly, can leave the bolts too loose and cause the squeaking complaints in the other reviews. Being able to use a powertool would make assembly less tedious and reduce customer complaints of squeaking. If building alone, use boxes or books to lift up the sidebeams while you screw them in. If you are using a box spring, make sure you buy the slats, as the frame is too wide to properly secure a box spring on its own. Overall I'm pretty happy with the price and quality of this bed frame.4
SO LOUD!PaigeI hate this bed. I’ve had it for 5 months and it has become increasingly LOUD. Every single movement makes the bed squeak. Even a toddler just rolling from their back to belly makes it squeak. I hate it. It’s beautiful, but NOT functional. The screws have all been tightened down, so it’s not a loose screw. The luroy slats just sit on top of the base, but they’re clicked in on the end slats. I don’t know where the squeaks are coming from— I know it’s not the mattress because our mattress doesn’t have any springs. I just want a different bed at this point. 1

We are using this around a mechanical bed and it accommodates that. We did drop the side railings to be sitting on the bottom hanger, and it works well without any modifications
