Observe the polarity marks plus (+) and minus (−) and ensure correct battery insertion into charger or product.

IKEA recommends LADDA rechargeable batteries.

The battery is fully charged after 4-8 hours.

The charger will stop charging when the batteries are fully charged.

Each battery slot has an individual light indicator with two colors.

The indicators on STENKOL have two colors, white and red. Start: all indicator lights are on. Stand-by mode: no lights are on. Charging: pulsing white light. Fully charged: steady white light. Error: flashing red light.

STENKOL has safety features such as shut-off for minus delta V and 0 delta V, defect cells protection, wrong polarity protection, timer shut-off, short-circuit protection and over-heating protection.

Charging time depends on the number of batteries and their energy capacity. For example, 4 high capacity batteries will charge in 8 hours, but 2 high capacity batteries only take 4 hours to charge.

Does not workLeeThis battery charger never worked. Totally useless. all it does is flash red lights. I have fiddled with it many times and it never works. I do not recommend buying this. Ikea is big on saying return it to the store, but the Ikea store is hours away for me .1

It worked fine, but just after 6 months the right two slots stopped working. Didn't matter if it was AA or AAA batteries. Since it's after 180 days, IKEA won't take it back.1
decent charger, poor mechanical designAnonymous reviewerSeems like a decent charger, although I have not fully evaluated the charging profile yet (I'm an engineer). However, the case design is somewhat silly. For some unknown reason, the US version has the mains plug spaced out a further 1cm from the back of the case, rather than just being flush. Since the case is not supported by the wall (which it would be if flat) it requires two hands to insert a rechargeable cell. Like I said, silly. I'd recommend a Panasonic BQ-CC17 charger over this unit.4

Barely WorksTimothyI had the old charger and it worked great. Got this one cause it finally bit the bullet, and this charger is terrible. First off, the Ikea batteries did not all immedietly start charging. I would have to rotate them and insert them several times to get the light to turn on. It took me like 5-10 minutes just to get all the batteries charging. And a number of them kept turning red which I found out was them overheating. To fix that, I had to take them out, and then try to get the back in and working again. It's more trouble than its worth. The batteries are a 5 star, but look elsewhere for the charger.1

Seems like it's broken?GiulchinI bought this device a couple of days ago, the instructions say that the white light should flash if it is charging, if there is some kind of malfunction, then red. I put the batteries on charge, the white light burned for about 5 minutes, then the red one started to burn, the batteries are working, I'm sure of this. I checked the charge, it will charge a little bit, set it again, and again, first white is on, then red again. And for the whole night it will not be fully charged, that is, do I need to turn off the device and plug it into the outlet every time it lights up red? device is defective? can i return it with receipt but no box? I already threw it away.1
