No drainage on this dish drainerKayceThis dish drained has no holes or place for the water that drains off the dishes to be drained. This causes the tray to hold water and any excess ideas build up. Making it so I am constantly cleaning it and emptying the water to prevent mold and bacteria buildup. So it’s a little bit of a pain but this flaw in the design makes It not very sanitary for drying clean dishes on.

Poorly executed ideaAmyI love the price and space-saving concept, but this drainer just doesn't function well. Since wet items hang over the edges and drip, the drainer must be placed either in the sink or on a mat. The worst problem it has is lack of drainage. It holds standing water and gets crusty. This issue also prevents the bottoms of the dishes from drying. I used a soldering iron to poke drainage holes in it, but it still doesn't drain well since it sits so flat on the mat I'm using. IKEA needs to revamp this item with proper drainage holes and short legs. I switched to a plate rack and for flatwear, 2 plastic stackable cups from the dollar store with drainage holes in the top cup.

Too big AnneMaybe I'm using this wrong but I don't care for it. It's large, 18" x 5.5" but the posts aren't very high, 2.5". It doesn't hold much, no drain holes, and is basically a big awkward piece of plastic. The small wooden one ikea sells (11" x 4.75", 3" posts) holds more even though it is much smaller and is open at the bottom for draining.
