Beautiful pendant light SilviaI love this pendant light, I currently have 2 of this type and both are beautiful, they look very high end. I do however think that the black part that hooks to the ceiling should also be the golden color for esthetics, i ended up painting mine to match better. Another thing is that this pendant does not provide too much light so that is something to consider. Overall, I really like how it looks, I used mine in the laundry room and I love it!4

Great value and looksJennieThese pendant lights were easy to install and look great. We installed two over our kitchen island. I do wish the top apron came in gold instead of the matte black plastic. I think that would look less "cheap", but I might just paint them myself. We like the way the shades diffuse the light. We used warm light long Edison bulbs in ours and it's perfect. 4

Beautiful light but disappointed qualityStephanieWe bought 3 of these to hang over our kitchen island. Love the way they look. Unfortunately, the glass shades are made so unbalanced. 2 out of 3 that we bought are crooked/lopsided at the base where it screws into the fixture. Therefore it hangs lopsided, and it is really obvious. One of them looks perfect. We live over an hour away from Ikea unfortunately, it isn't the most convenient to drive back and return or replace. I guess you get what you pay for. If you have the time, maybe take the glass shades out of the box to make sure they aren't lopsided before purchasing.2

Material

What is glass?

Glass is mainly made of sand, soda, and lime melted at a high temperature. Tempering or various additives gives you extra-strong and impact-resistant glass that in some cases can be taken straight from freezer to oven without cracking. A big benefit is how glass can be recycled over and over without the quality deteriorating. Also, a lot less energy is needed to melt recycled glass compared to new raw materials. Our goal is to eventually use only recycled glass in our range.
