Seat cushion is flat and not as it was in the showroomChristopherCushion inserts were vacuum-packed. The large primary cushion insert did not fluff out after removing from the plastic packaging. It remains 1" thick and hard as a board.3
Comfy and love the redEmilyI bought Soderhamn in Samsta Pink 5 yrs ago and was distraught they discontinued the color. Fortunately, my local IKEA had a floor model in Tonerud Red and I loved it! The fabric was soft and comfortable, and the red isn’t actually a solid, pure red. It’s a variegated pattern with some white in it so it’s lighter and less intense than online.
Building was easy and I personally love thick, thick back pillows so I put one Vildkorn (king size) pillow into each back pillow in addition to the ones it came with and they were perfectly Jumbo Stuffed and extra supportive (I did the same with my Samsta Pink 5 years ago).
Also, because the corner piece and chaise apparently don’t connect, I bought the one seater+ arm rest + chaise and got the look and size I wanted.
I have some Van Gogh decor pillows with blue and yellow (Starry Night & Over the Rhone) and they look fantastic against the red of this couch. Super great color if you want a living room that’s fun, colorful, and really pops! 5
Not what I thoughtSharleneToo low to the ground. Hard. The padding could have been thicker for the price. 2

Good not greatAudreyEasy to assemble. Comfortable enough with good back and neck support. The fabric and color is our issue. The fabric is fairly rough, and the “dark gray” pictured in the description is not accurate. It’s quite blue looking and definitely not as dark as advertised.4
It looks better than how it feels likeMartinQuickly point to a review on YouTube about how this lady bought Soderhamn wherever she moved and found out that the latest version has padding that is uncomfortable and feels cheaply made. That's exactly how it feels like.3
Great addition to the sofaFrancesAs noted, this was purchased with the 3 seater sofa. It's perfect as an addition as well as a stand alone across the room.5
Great style, awesome durability, loungeableAmyI got my first soderhamn chaise in early 2017. I added a two single seats later in 2017. I added a second chaise to make a large u shaped sectional in early 2019. My pieces are between 3 and 5 years old and they’ve lost no quality. My first chaise started with the no longer sold light blue linen cover which was not durable for my cat. It was her ideal scratching texture. After, I switched to the dark grey samsta which is a tight knit polyester which doesn’t tempt the cats. Covers wash great although it is time consuming to get them on and off but it’s great to do a full wash yearly and spot cleaning is easy for messes. Couch is low, so it’s not a favorite of my older relatives. Seats are deep which makes for great lounging and napping. It’s not a couch for acquaintances as it necessitates comfort. It’s a great looking couch and I’ve no plans to switch it out anytime soon.5
Comfy chaseLaurenI bought this specifically because my kids create chaos as they grow. I needed something where the cushions would be easy to remove and wash and this js exactly what I needed. Its a little short, but perfect for the kids and looks great in the living room. Easy to take the cushions off and wash and put back together. I have two sets of covers for it and I love it so far.5
hard as a rockJeanLooks nice and is small enough to fit in my tiny living room. It is really low to the ground, though, so looks kind of weird in the same room with normal height furniture. And it is VERY firm. My butt hurts if I'm on it more than a half hour. I would've gladly paid more for a thicker cushion. Am considering returning it for this reason.3
SoederhamnMaryVery easy to assemble. Lightweight. Small enough for my tiny den and short legs. Looks great! Comfortable in too5
