SÖDERHAMN seating series allows you to sit deeply, low and softly with the loose back cushions for extra support.
Light, airy design with high legs and slim lines, yet still a great comfort thanks to the elastic weave in the bottom and high resilience foam in the seat cushions.
The sofa's sections can be used freestanding or combined in different ways to get a size and shape that suits you and your home.
If you need a larger sofa, you can add a section or two to your existing combination.
You can create your own perfect combination with the planning tool. Assemble, take apart and put together again until it’s just right.
The high legs make it easy to clean the floor under the furniture.
Hillared cover is woven from cotton and polyester – with viscose and linen added. The durable cover has a clear structure, yet is soft and comfortable at the same time.
The cover is easy to keep clean since it can be machine washed and is easy to take off and put on again.

The cover has a lightfastness level of 5 (the ability to resist color fading) on a scale of 1 to 8. According to industry standards, a lightfastness level of 4 or higher is suitable for home use.This fabric's ability to resist abrasion has been tested to handle 30,000 cycles. A fabric that withstands 15,000 cycles or more is suitable for furniture that should withstand everyday use in the home.This seating furniture is tested and complies with relevant strength and durability standards. The tests simulate typical usage of the product and are based on use by persons weighing up to 242 lbs.

Love the red + connected it to chaise EmilyI bought Soderhamn in Samsta Pink 5 yrs ago and was distraught they discontinued the color. Fortunately, my local IKEA had a floor model in Tonerud Red and I loved it! The fabric was soft and comfortable, and the red isn’t actually a solid, pure red. It’s a variegated pattern with some white in it so it’s lighter and less intense than online.
Building was easy and I personally love thick, thick back pillows so I put one Vildkorn (king size) pillow into each back pillow in addition to the ones it came with and they were perfectly Jumbo Stuffed and extra supportive (I did the same with my Samsta Pink 5 years ago).
Also, because the corner piece and chaise apparently don’t connect, I bought this + arm rest + chaise and got the look and size I wanted.
I have some Van Gogh decor pillows with blue and yellow (Starry Night & Over the Rhone) and they look fantastic against the red of this couch. Super great color if you want a living room that’s fun, colorful, and really pops! 5
Cushions not as cushiony NiveditaWe've had the Soderhamn two seater (sofa section) for as long as I remember. We love it - for the comfort and the design. So much so that I got the Viarp beige/brown covers soon aster they were introduced, for a refresh. We recently bought a one seat section and it seems the cushions have changed. The covers don't fit as snug and the seat wrinkles. :-( The older seats look better! Still a very comfortable sofa but I wish the inner cushions were the same. 4

Almost perfectPritamI had been looking for the sofa that can be used as a daybed as well and this one worked out perfectly and even better because it’s sectional. I picked up the best fabric which is the most expensive of the options but it’s completely worth it. All the cushions are really nicely designed to give you the most comfort. I also loved the fact that cushion covers are washable. I would definitely buy this again.5
