Great changing table! AmandaI really liked the simplicity of this changing table. I don't really like Ikea's changing pad that fits this one (the blow up changing pad), but we will just buy something elsewhere or put a few towels down. Ikea furniture can also be a bit unsteady, but we found this was very sturdy, and, to be extra cautious, we ended up using some glue on all the joints. Overall, i love the clean lines and this is a great value for a simple changing table! 5
Ridiculous that it doesn't fit standard changing padsLaurenSo silly that this doesn't fit any standard changing pads. Needs to be 4 inches longer so the tray is at least 31 inches. The inflatable one is such garbage and not what I'm looking for!2
AWFUL. I should have read the reviews!MelissaAwful. This thing is a mess to put together. One board was very warped so then nothing else lined up. To quote my husband, “I wouldn’t even put a teddy bear on this thing.” I’ve also read IKEA’s responses to the bad reviews. They want us to bring it to a store? I ordered online so that I didn’t have to drive over an hour. Guess it sounds like we’re stuck with this thing. The price sounds nice, but it is NOT worth it. 1
It does not fit standard changing padsJeanetteMaterial and over looks is great but I am annoyed that it does not fit standard changing pads.3
Poor quality control. Parts do not line up.TeriThe amount paid definitely shows in the poor quality and craftsmanship. Holes and pieces do not line up. Took way to long to put together and much frustration.2
Parts don’t alignSuk YoungI normally have no problem assembling Ikea furniture and I always follow the instructions. This one had parts that were actually not matching properly. I could tell what goes where, but it seemed like some of the measurements of the grooves and connection points were improperly done. I struggled with this furniture for 2-3 hours and it’s barely standing together as I force screwed in some connection points. 2
Love it AlondraLove the size doesn’t take up to much space
Very simple and does its jobs
Love it 5
The lower level doesnt align the boltsSasideepWrestled for over 2 hours to fix the bottom tray. The holes dont align and the cut is small for the tray to be aligned. Some of the other comments echo the same issue. Would have added pictures here to show what is happening. looks like it might be a hit or miss.1
Poor Manufacturing Quality ControlBrendanThis piece of furniture has the worst quality control on the manufacturing of anything I've ever seen from Ikea. Maybe they are starting to go down hill. The cuts on the legs are too small to accept the horizontal table components. The holes drilled for the dowels and bolts do not line up once assembled. I'm willing to try to bend the wood into submission but it's not possible when the manufacturing was this far off. What a waste of 2 hours driving to the store and then trying to assemble something that now does not feel safe for my child. 1
Sturdy and cuteIsabellEasy to set up and very sturdy I love Ikea, reccommend it!5
Changing Pad Does Not FitKatieThis is a non-standard size and does not fit the changing pad that IKEA sells, or a standard one sold at most retailers. It is a bit small which would be ok if there was a changing pad that could fit, but without it it's just a small table that you have to put a towel or blanket on, which defeats the purpose. 1
Dissapointed KristinaI bought the sniglar crib and it's perfect. I decided to buy the matching changing table. BIG MISTAKE. This is a non-standard size. The standard changing pad ikea sells doesn't fit. The table is too short. And with my tall baby, he is 28" at 3 months and already too long for this. It comes in a whole bunch of flat pieces that are difficult to put together and definitelyrequires two people. And once you put them together it feels flimsy and it rocks. There is no strap. Which wouldn't be such a problem if I could use a changing pad that had a strap, but a standard change pad doesn't fit!!!! I live almost 2 hours away. And I bought the changing table and a changing pad covers. Now I have a project to make this work. It's going to cost too much time/effort to drive all the way back to return. I'm so disappointed with IKEA right now. The thing is, this furniture is gorgeous and it matches the crib perfectly. I was so excited I was going to have matching furniture that didn't break the bank1
Simple and inexpensiveNikkiThis is by far the least expensive changing table you can find. It is sturdy, easy to assemble and basic. One drawback, it does not fit the regular changing table pad IKEA sells. Our store doesn’t carry the inflatable changing pad that doesn’t fit, so, we’re just using receiving blankets. But other than that it’s great.5
Critical FlawEvanThe changing table itself is fine, but it does not fit the changing pad that IKEA sells! Nor does it fit most standard changing pads. I don't know what changing pad is shown in the photos but I confirmed with multiple store employees that they only sell a single changing pad, which is too large for this changing table. This is an extremely poor decision on IKEA's part and needs to be rectified before I can recommend this product to anyone.1
Do not buy, unusableEduardoThis product is unusable as changing table since it's not compatible with the standard changing pad size, and the don't sell a compatible pad.1
easy to use.Cheneasy to use.5
Not Ikea's best...JiaShould have read the reviews first. It doesn't fit a standard changing pad. It's like 3 inches too short. It's also incredibly difficult to put together - as others have pointed out, very difficult or impossible to close the gaps between the legs and the shelves. Once assembled it does not feel stable enough to put a kid on top, especially one that's prone to thrashing about. Feels like the whole thing could topple over. Does not include any wall anchors. No idea what the designers were thinking with this one, but something tells me they probably weren't thinking at all.1
Doesn’t fit changing pads, poor constructionMattIt was very difficult to get the legs to sit flush against the shelves when building this (2 legs had connecting points with gaps no matter what I did). I read reviews and saw comments about changing pads not fitting and tested mine before wasting more time and, sure enough, it didn’t fit. Going straight into the recycling. Waste of money and time.1
Perfect size and priceKerryWe wanted something compact for our space. I thought we could use the top of the dresser but this works so much better. When our baby was small (less than 4 months) we used the inflatable ikea pad. Then I bought the Compact 3-Sided Contour Changing Pad by Colgate Mattress from buy buy baby, it’s slightly narrower but we stash tubes of diaper cream in the gap, fits perfectly. Shop around and check dimensions, there are pads from other manufacturers that fit, they cost more than this changing table but I found a good deal. We also have the plastic storage bins that clip on for wipes, trash and other odds and ends.5
