To save on our natural resources and make use of as much of the tree as possible, we have used sawmill leftovers and scrap wood in the particle boards for SMÅSTAD.

Tricky drawer installationJoanneIndividual item assemblies (frame, drawers) were easy but the drawer track installation is unclear. There is no instruction applicable to the 2 short and 1 tall drawer combo. Here's what my husband and I figured out:
Top drawer: install the track at the 4th hole (front set, count from top);
2nd drawer: install the track at the 10th hole (front set, count from top);
Tall drawer: assemble it following the steps starting from page 4 (i.e. drawer bottom should be in the channel closest to the edge of the drawer front), install the track at the 2nd hole (front set, count from bottom - NOT top).
Note: The longer bottom drawer is on wheels without track. It glides on the floor. I added felt pads on the sides near the back so it glides straighter against the frame. I also added thumbtack type bumpers on the back.
We added LATMASK handles to the top 3 drawers. Top drawer sticks out a bit with the handle resting against the top panel of the frame (added felt pad on the back of handle).
