Great bed, but use the slats it comes with.LaurenGreat bed, but wish the ikea algorithm would not have suggested the lonset slats with it. We bought those also, put them all together and when added to the bed they raise the mattress too much. But our nearest IKEA is 6 hours away, so we can’t return them. Other than that, it’s a great bed! Easy assembly and comfortable.

Split right down the middleMaayanAfter three months of normal use, I sat down in the center of the bed and the bed frame snapped down the middle, right next to the center support. Now it buckles on the side and is unable to be fixed. Unfortunately, a disappointing purchase.

The bolts strip SO EASILY and it was SO FRUSTRATING, I spent HOURS TRYING TO GET THE BOLTS OUT AND THEY JUST KEPT STRIPPING. The quality control of this garbage product is why the price is so cheap, WHY NOT JUST PROVIDE CROSS RECESSED BOLT??? Does it really cost you that much more!? I know ikea is cheap but this is unacceptable, and now I have to figure out how to return this garbage after spending the last 4 hours trying to put it together!!! I will NEVER purchase another bed from IKEA again!!!! DO BETTER IKEA!! Omg IM LIVID
Decent HuaFrame was easy to install. Legs are tiny and after a while it starts to squeak was laying in bed etc. it’s cheap price for cheap frame. Screws come loose and headboard squeaks also.
Poor quality itemShannonI purchased this bed in November 2025 and it has already broken beyond repair. The legs bend and squeak and cannot hold the frame steadily. The middle legs are now totally folded over. The bed also took hours to put together, and the screws have had to be resecured multiple times over the months. This bed has only been used by a single 130 lb person. I’ve purchased many reasonably priced items from Ikea that are great value for the cost. This is definitely not one.
Difficult to assembleDThe locations of the connection bolts on the legs were extremely difficult to insert, let alone tighten. Wasn't able to completely tighten them, and it squeaks and wiggles every time weight is shifted. I was surprised because my many past Ikea purchases were cleverly designed for assembly, and were sturdy, functional and reasonably attractive, this one was a real outlier.
Wish I didn’t get this bed years agoSydneyOn paper this bed is great for the price. My first year with it, it was fantastic and I liked how simple it was. Year two I moved and when reassembling the bed, a bolt fused into the headboard broke off causing a loose leg on the right corner. Because of this, my bed was not completely sturdy and constantly squeaked/creaked and has gotten WORSE over time. Coming back in 2026, I even tried gluing the bolt back with no luck but writing that I wish I decided to spend a bit more at the time and got a different frame. Now trying to weigh my options knowing most likely I won’t be able to get a spare headboard since of when it was purchased.
Very disappointed with the qualityAlyssaPurchased it in January this year and the paint on the headboard stained my wall black. This caused extra cleaning, damage and expense. Buyers should be aware. I wouldn’t recommend this bed frame.
Solid Bed FramePauloThis bed frame is very solid. Great Price. The Slattum Bed frame can be assemble and re-assemled without the fear of screw holes getting damaged, they won't because it's all metal. The bed foundation slabs support 100% area of a mattress. It's very easy to assemble, Ikea Trixig mini power-drill needed for quick assembly (15 min) but an provided Allen wrench can do the job but it takes a while to screw in all the screws manually (1.5 Hours) wrist can get tired quickly. But, all and all, it's great buy. Money saver choice. I give it a 5 Star!
Punches Above Its Weight加藤Super light weight but sturdy! Easy to rearrange or move around for cleaning. Negative reviews about squeaking, wobbling or falling slats might be due to improper assembly and capacity issues and don't seem to consider the price point. I put down felt strip tape to keep slats from sliding and have had no noise after years of use. Non-removable upholstery but does not pill easily or attract dust. For placement in room, note that back side of headboard uses backing fabric. The leg placements might be an obstacle for under-bed storage configuration as well as for your feet depending on how clumsy you are in the dark. . . But I think the legs are what make the all-in-one packaging possible. So easy for me to transport, unpack and assemble alone, and someday down the road I will be able to disassemble and recycle without leaving much of a footprint. Both product and packaging are ingenious- Thank you IKEA!
