Acacia has a rich brown color and distinctive grain pattern. It is highly durable, resistant to scratches and water, ideal for heavy-use. Acacia slightly darkens with age.

Warped and poorly made - Avoid this tableTanitraI really wanted to like the SKOGSTA table, but it’s been a huge disappointment. The tabletop comes in two pieces, and both were noticeably warped right out of the box. One was so bowed that the table actually rocked when laid flat on the floor — completely unusable. The second piece was slightly better but still visibly concave.
This isn’t a minor flaw — it’s a major design or quality control issue. Now, instead of enjoying a new table, we’re stuck having to repackage the entire thing, load it into the car, and drive an hour to return it. A total waste of time and energy.
IKEA needs to do better with quality checks on something this large and expensive. I wouldn’t recommend this table to anyone unless you’re willing to gamble on warped wood.

Very solid table AmyThe table was easy to assemble. The only problem I had was flipping it over when finished. It was very heavy so you will need help. It looks so nice!

Love This TableMaryGood value for money. I didn’t have any problems but seems it could be easy to over tighten and strip some screws. Also, table is heavy so you may need help turning upright after assembly. We had two strong guys pick it up without putting any sideways pressure on legs.
Solid TableLawrenceVery sturdy table. Love the wood surface. My only complaint is about the superfluous piece sticking out of the legs. We keep hitting our shins on it and as far as I can see it has no real purpose.

Warped boardsCharlotteI loved this table the moment I saw it. We live about an hour and a half away, so it was a trip to get it. As excited as I was to get it home, once puting it together it seems that both boards are warped😢. I am disappointed as it is a heavy table and took a lot to put together. We are left with the choice of keeping a table that's not close to even or taking it completely apart and traveling all that way to get a new one. As much as I love it I am sooo sad. I recommend looking at this closley before puting it completely together.😔

Fantastic tableThereseI chose this table after looking at dozens of desks. Yes, it’s big, and it dominates the middle of my work room, and I love it. I can have my sewing machine and serger set up at one end, and have plenty of room to work on other art/craft projects at the other end. This is perhaps the heaviest piece of furniture I now own. I found it easy to assemble, just needed to have a couple strong neighbors help get it flipped over for me. Did I say I love it? It’s a beautiful and timeless design.
Heavy, Sturdy, and BeautifulEdThis table is excellent in 3 important areas: materials, construction, and form. I bought the store display in as-is section and it is still in wonderful condition. The joints remain very tight, which I think are a result of the base construction and the overall weight. The base is a sawhorse style frame, mimicing a mortise and tenon construction, connected by a beam with a key feature: opposing angled braces to keep the frame from racking. Two panels, made of an acacia slat glue-up, make up the table top and are fastened to the frame with 8 bolts seated in a recessed groove inset within the frame which hides the hardware nicely. The glue-up makes the acacia top especially heavy, which is appropriate for a furniture piece that typically does not get moved around—akin to a large
bookcase or bed. The elegant design, simple color scheme, sturdy construction, and real acacia (non-laminate) top, all gel to make this a beautiful table with a unique form.

Extremely solid tableAlyssaI love this table so much I've bought it twice. It is solid wood and feels extremely sturdy. The natural wood means that any marks or scratches that happen don't stand out much and aren't a big deal. The only small thing I wish were different is the gap running along the center of the table. I wish it were smaller or weren't there, as it makes some things harder, like playing board games. I put a table runner over it to hide it.
