Terrible Quality TaraI bought eight chairs and four of them are irreparably broken one year later.
Defective screw hole prevents proper assemblyAliciaOne of the screw holes on the chair is defective. The hole is not drilled deep enough and does not have proper threads, so the screw cannot be tightened or installed as shown in the assembly instructions.
Because of this manufacturing defect, one side of the chair can only be secured with 2 screws instead of the 3 screws it was designed to use. I tried following the instructions carefully, but the third screw simply cannot be installed because the hole itself was not manufactured correctly.
This is especially disappointing because it affects the proper assembly and stability of the chair. IKEA should improve the quality control for these pre-drilled/threaded holes.
FlimsyDruPurchased these a little over 2 years ago. After about a year they started falling apart. The backs split where they are jointed and glued together, the leg braces snap off, we even had one collapse while a dinner guest was sitting on it. We are currently down to 1 out of 6. Spend your money on something sturdier and avoid the headache.

Weak joints cause breakdown AlysonWe purchased 10 of these chairs and in the year and half since, half of them have broken almost all at the same crossbar joint on the bottom. The style is nice but they are insufficiently durable for our family.

This is very disappointing and clearly not a case of normal wear and tear. When all 6 chairs fail within such a short period, it strongly suggests a quality issue with the product.

Thankfully nothing serious, but there are elderly people in our home. We have to replace all of the ones we purchased. You should recall them.
