It's nice, though a bit crinklyMichaelIt's a pretty well made duvet insert. It's warming but not too hot. I prefer it over a down/feather insert because the feathers can get moldy or poke you. The exterior of the insert is reminiscent of the fabric you'd find on a waterproof mattress protector. While it isn't abrasive, it makes a crinkly plastic noise when you move it around which may annoy some. The exterior of the fabric isn't particularly soft or luxurious, but the interior filling is reasonably soft and I never had problems with the comfort. One thing to note is that Ikea inserts do not come with ties for your duvet cover, so make sure yours doesn't require them before buying. Overall I'm pretty happy with this product, however I do find myself questioning whether or not it's a good value compared to the SMÅSPORRE which is also a down alternative insert but costs 33% less.4
