Modern teapot with lovely colors but has quality issuesJieIt was love at first sight when I saw the teapot on display, and had to take one home! I am very happy with the design and the fact that has a mesh inner that will strain out loose tea leaves. But upon closer inspection, I noticed that the metal handle has discoloration darker patches and also has a piece of plastic/glue looking residue stuck on it : ( It seems very difficult to remove it as it is lodged firmly on the metal surface. I am afraid if I try to remove it by force I might damage the metal surface even further. The teapot lid also has some paint imperfections as well. I am a little surprised that IKEA QC didn’t catch all these issues. I took some pictures and hopefully the system will let me upload it.
BeautifulSimoneIt’s a beautiful teapot. I love the modern pattern, but wish it came in more colors and that the strainer was made of ceramic or porcelain as well instead of metal and the handle was made of wood.

Very poor designCorinneI expect that ikea will work out all the kinks, but I doubt anyone tried using this before it hit the shelves. There is no notch in the top to keep it from falling while pouring, meaning we have to hold the very hot top down with one hand. Also, there is absolutely no reason for the handle to swing. Again, creating a dangerous situation while pouring boiling hot liquids.
