Not just a kitchen cabinet…awesome for small depth spacesAmyI have a tiny corner in my hallway just over 24 inches wide, and about 15 inches deep. It is nestled between a bedroom and bathroom forming the corner, and basement door that swings out across from the bathroom. It’s a thoroughfare of activity b/t the bedrooms and kitchen. I needed to maximize this prime spot as a drop zone for my kids. For years, I had Command hooks on the wall in the corner, with a shoe shelf underneath, but it looked cluttered! With the SEKTION high cabinet, I have the same thing but enclosed! I searched forever to find the right configuration and I can’t tell you how thrilled I was to get this cabinet because it’s precisely the right dimensions to maximize the space. Tons of shoes on the bottom, and I placed those Command hooks inside the top for jackets and dance bags. Getting the black plastic “feet” to go under the cabinet is a must…adjustable for uneven flooring, hoists the cabinet above the baseboard flush against the wall saving another inch.

Very Happy Anonymous reviewerI was a little concerned with some poor reviews but my previous IKEA furniture was very good. These turned out great and I am very happy. Installing the back panels took some patience but they are critical to the integrity of the piece. The guidelines for nailing them in were very helpful. I installed 2 pairs with one pair on each side of a window. They look great!

there is not a good way to keep the space between the two sides constant. it is well fix at the extremes, but it looks more open at the center
Sinarp is beautifulSherreenI really wanted to do another Ekestad kitchen in my recent remodel, but they were discontinued. The Sinarp was the closest style IKEA had available. I am very happy with it. My house is mid-century modern and this cabinet style works very well.
