The fabric gives excellent protection against the sun’s UV rays as it has a UPF (Ultraviolet Protection Factor) rating of 50+, which means it blocks 98% of the ultraviolet radiation.

You can easily turn the umbrella to shade different areas since it can be rotated 360 degrees.

Tilt function provides protection from the sun all day long.

With a light, passing rain shower, you can stay and relax under your parasol since the canopy repels water.

The air vent reduces wind pressure and allows heat to circulate.

Care

Horrible product and even worse service from IKEAAnonymous reviewerWe bought this umbrella in July 2024 and less than a year after it pretty much stopped being functional. It twists and turns in the slightest breeze. The pin that holds it pops out. I called IKEA and the associate was originally very helpful and offered to replace the item. He also offered to try solving the issue with a new pin, which I agreed to. He said he made a note to send a replacement if the new pin didn't work - it didn't, and upon contacting IKEA again they refused to do anything at all. This item is absolute garbage and IKEA should be embarrassed to sell it and that they don't stand behind it at all. 1
Lots of wind play.Anonymous-Bought to replace my old ones damaged by a storm - The new black canopies have a lot of wind play and movement which destabilizes the umbrellas -The handle button is not as responsive as the old umbrella’s and I hope they have long term operational use - Overall, the new product does not give me the confidence that they will hold up. Main cable busted BarbaraWe rarely use the 1 yo umbrella, but opened it for a party and 2 hours later the main cable busted. luckily no one was hurt. 1
Used to be good, not anymoreHarveyI had two of these. First one lasted many years, second one not even 2 years. They make them a lot cheaper now. Not main pole but diagonal one holding umbrella up snapped in two. Junk. Very disappointed with Ikea. Spent a lot of money and didn't last very long. Give it a miss. 1
