The best way to extend the life of your umbrella is by cleaning it regularly, protecting it with a cover whenever not in use and storing it in a cool, dry place indoors when the season is over.

Umbrella fabric

Do not dry clean.

To clean the fabric, fold down the umbrella and wipe it with a soft cloth dampened in water. For heavily soiled areas, scrub with a sponge soaked in mild detergent and rinse with cold water.

It’s ok.AnonymousOur came with a large mysterious spot of rust on the pole? Too far to ikea to return/exchange. The wind knocked it over and just falling over once caused holes in the canopy fabric. That was also disappointing. All in all, it’s a vey attractive design but gets dirty easily and can’t be cleaned because the ribs are sewn into the frame (which does make it stronger). So, I wish it were a better color and more resilient fabric. For the price it’s pretty good, but be extra careful with it.4

Almost Perfect!AnonymousI bought this for my small table on my small deck, and the size and color are perfect! I love that it tilts, and was a little concerned about it not having a crank, but actually prefer just opening and closing by hand! Works SO smoothly! The only minus is that my deck is very windy, and the umbrella doesn’t have a hole up top to deflect some of the wind, so it catches every breeze and wobbles about in the breeze. So I can’t have it open as much as I’d like. But I think it’s a great little thing!4

doesn't stay upBethWe had Ikea umbrella's for years (in fact we had 2 for 10 years).. Had to buy this one bc the $89 was sold out. Big bummer- never stays up- sitting and eating and it closes on me- will be returning. I ordered another brand from amazon bc Ikea online & call center is so difficult - i cannot be bothered1
