This frame fits with a picture that has dimensions 12x16" if you use it with the mount, and it fits with a picture that has dimensions 16x20" if you choose to use the frame without the mount.
The mat will not turn yellow since it is acid-free.
Screws for wall mounting not included. Different wall materials require different fixing devices, use devices suitable for your walls. IKEA recommends ALFTA adhesive hook.

I contacted Ikea to inquire if this was defective or not and was told it's not a defect. I was also told they'd send me a replacement and it took me calling them to find out that they cancelled the replacement order. Honestly, overall disappointed in Ikea for the quality here and even more disappointed with their lack of customer service.
Great Aesthetics, Low QualityLukeThe frame is made of painted MDF (not real wood), which becomes a problem real quick when something breaks. We've had the metal tabs on the back completely rip out of the frame after just a couple adjustments. And once that MDF chips or breaks, forget about trying to glue it back together cleanly.
The worst was when we were moving it to a different room and the whole thing just came apart when it touched the ground. The frame is pretty thin and fragile, so it doesn't take much. If you're planning to hang one poster and never touch it again, this could work for you - the price is decent for what you get initially. But if you're someone who likes to switch out artwork or move things around, save yourself the headache and invest in something more durable. This frame has a very short lifespan if you actually want to, you know, use it.

“Hanging something on the wall is a simple trick when you want to create a more homely feel or tie the interior in a room together,” says Andreas Fredriksson, the designer behind RÖDALM, a family of frames in different sizes, colors and wood expressions.

” We have also reinforced the back of RÖDALM to make it durable and prevent the frame from warping. That’s good if you change addresses often or enjoy refurnishing,” explains Andreas. He believes the pictures people hang on their walls can give clues about their lives and who they are, but how you choose to frame them can also be revealing. ” I enjoy creating collages using frames in various sizes and styles on a small wall surface, for example, old ornate flea market frames together with a modern frame like RÖDALM.” Then, the actual motif becomes less important, and a simple brushstroke on a beautiful piece of paper can be enough. “In the end, what’s important is not necessarily what you choose to hang on your walls, but that you put something up that feels like you.”

What is fibreboard?
Fiberboard is a stable and durable material made of leftover wood from the wood industry. A durable outer layer of paint or laminate is added to the board. The difference between various types of fiberboards, such as HDF and MDF, is mainly the thickness, yet also how impact-resistant they are. This determines if we will use them for bed frames, sofa frames, kitchen fronts, wardrobe doors, or something completely different.
