Up function failed after about six raisesRichardThe desk was fairly simple to assemble, but the "up" function failed within the first week. I probably haven't raised it more than six times. I've been especially careful with it since it's new, and total weight of the table and contents is well under 100 lbs. Considering similar complaints here, this seems to be a recurring issue.1
AVOID THIS PRODUCTLukeThe desk raise function stopped working within an hour of set-up. Reading other reviews, this is a known issue with this product that Ikea is obviously not addressing. Ikea won't even send a replacement part to fix the issue. If you buy this desk, it will stop working and you will have no recourse. Other cons: It's a chore to put together. It feels wobbly even at its lowest setting. The tabletop quality is poor: the edges all have sharp seams. After a long time on hold with Ikea support, I was informed that there was no option for me to receive a replacement part. The issue might have been the small controller piece which I had to plug in as a part of the standard assembly instructions and which could have easily been swapped out, but Ikea won't send replacements for mechanical or electronic parts , even parts that originally came separately. I now have to somehow get this desk back to Ikea for a refund and buy a replacement from a different retailer. Please learn from my mistake.1

Great set of legs!

Great setup. I used these with live edge 2” wood to make my closet an office desk. The motor works well for lifting and I love the range. After 30 years in the field I now WFH and the option to treat the as a stand/sit desk makes a huge impact.
