Screws/Bolts Fall Off & Base CracksDennisTwo problems with this picnic table. I’m usually happy with Ikea items so this experience was a first.
- Putting together the legs and base, the screws go from the leg into two metal nut bolt of the base. These secure, but the metal nut bolt itself falls off the base. It’s possible once you’re done putting the whole table together it becomes a non-issue? But the bolt coming off the base on its own while I’m working on other part of the table strikes me as poorly constructed at factory.
- The benches and base have pre-drilled holes, though when manually screwing the benches into the base, the wood base cracked.
Usually happy with Ikea products, but the base cracking and the metal bolt coming off the same base gave me a pause as this is supposed to be for my kids. I had little to no trust in the table by the end of putting it together, let alone it’s supposed to be an outdoor table withstanding the elements like the sun and etc. 1
Children are people tooIngridThis table was a hit with the small children at an event that I held in the backyard. The children were naturally drawn to the table because it was their size and they could comforably sit and eat or play at it. They loved it! So did the parents.5
Great table....but...CeciliaI bought this for my grandson who loves it. However the 12 bolts did not attach to the wood. Maybe the holes were too big for the spikes to adhere. Fixed the problem with 2 inch by 1/4 bolt and nut to replace all the 12. It was not just 1...it was all the bolts... still now that together, it is a nice addition.4
A perfect table for my granddaughterNathaliaShe loves the table to set up, was very easy she color and does a lot of things on that table. She puts outside to play with her cousin, nice furniture and not expensive.5
cheap wood, not strong at allJeongwonI purchased this bench in July 2025. very waggly and the wood already cracked a bit.1
Cracked broken woodInesI was putting this picnic table together for my twins and I noticed some of the holes do not align so whatever that was kinda fixable but then I noticed the wood was broken! Super upset cause we were all excited for the twins to use this! 2
Cracked woodBrittanyIt’s really cute, but disappointed that the wood cracked after one rainfall. Definitely put a waterproof coating over it or make sure you keep up with when it’s going to rain if you leave it outside. Most people aren’t covering outdoor furniture after every use so I would’ve hope for a bit more durability :(3
Adorable picnic table KarenMy granddaughters love it. It is small. My 16 month old small granddaughter gets in and out without issue. It is a bit small for my almost 4YO big granddaughter. She still fits and can use it, but not for too much longer.
It is perfect for dining and play. Sturdy wood. 5
Perfect size for toddlersAnonymous reviewerThis was easy to put together and seems very sturdy. Love that it's water proof. My toddler and her friends immediately gravitate towards it.5
Great Grandchildren love itDanPut it together in time for Easter dinner at our house. My 2 Great Grandchildren enjoyed having their own table to eat at. 5
Grandkids loved it!TaraWe bought this for extra seating for Thanksgiving, and it worked perfectly!5
NO quality control!!!Anonymous reviewerI love the look of this little table, but like many others have said, the holes don't line up for both sides of the seats, and the threads on many of the screws are messed up. So frustrating because I don't live close to IKEA, and I have no confidence that buying another one would be any different. IKEA, what are your plans to help me?1
Horrible qualityErikJust put it together and the threads of the bolts did not align properly with two of the machined inserts on the stability bar. This is absolutely crap quality assurance on your part IKEA. 1
Kids' picnic tableAndiPerfect size for our 2 year old grandson...and he loves sitting and playing on it. Easy to put together--all pieces were there.5
OkayMeganProduct is decent. It’s a good size for my 4 and 6 year old children. I really didn’t think the price was worth what we got but I guess everything is just more expensive these days. We’ll see how long it lasts outside on our deck before it will need replacing. It is more aesthetically pleasing than a bright plastic kids table that’s for sure.4
Sweet well made picnic tableLisaBought this for my Granddaughters and love the traditional look and quality.5
