Perfect desk for growing kidsEWe purchased the Relatera desk for our 2nd grade kid. We have it adjusted to the lowest height, along with an adjustable height chair. It fits her perfectly. The desk will be able to rise (using the hand crank) as she grows. The desk top size (35 3/8" x 23 5/8") is good for now (smaller than most other IKEA desks). We paired with a clamp on desk lamp to save space on top. Assembly was not too bad, but the frame/legs were a bit heavier than I expected (because of the height adjusting legs). I was still able to assemble it by myself. I gently used a cordless drill to do most of the work and hand tightened all of the screws to finish. It feels solid. Only 3 minor issues: 1) the crank handle that is supposed to tuck in is a little finicky to tuck, 2) the under desk cable management tray is small/thin. I had to buy a slim power strip to fit in it, 3) there are 3 holes on the desk top for cable management. The cover inserts are not very snug and could be better quality with a hole.5
Great desk, instructions could be betterJonathanEverything is solid about this minimal, space saving, stand up desk. The only issue for me is the instructions. Had to take stuff apart 3 times because the instructions were not entirely clear in which direction some parts were to be installed. Stripped a nut in the process. 4

Surprisingly GoodGreyI searched a bit for an adjustable-height desk, including at Ikea. I liked the idea of mechanical raise/lower mechanism. Assembly was easy and I discovered a surprise feature, namely that you can assemble the crank on one side or the other (it's ambidextrous). I wish I had known the drawer was an option (I purchased it later). Very nice desk. 5
